The nonprofit group Public Agenda conducted telephone interviews with three randomly selected groups of parents of high-school c

hildren. There were 202 black parents, 202 Hispanic parents, and 201 white parents. The sample survey asked the parents to respond to the statement, “A college education has become as important as a high school diploma used to be." Here are the counts of responses:
Write a brief report on the similarities or differences among the three groups of parents in their attitudes towards the importance of a college education. Include a graph or graphs and a test of significance. (18 points)

Answer:

Scatter plot is the answer for this type of graph of intelligence.

We can go up by 12 or 24 on the side graph

0,12,24,36,48,60,72,84,96,108 etc. So their will be 20 values if 12 and this best, labeled 12-228 this is because it stops at 202 and 228 may encourage other parents who read to take part in telephone interviews etc.

So that the first number 8 or 10 on y axis shows between 0 +12   (2/3 up to 12 low down) can be read as 2/3 of the first value so under 12 looks good. You will see that Step 1.

Step 2 Label x and y at end axis afterwards

Step 3. Write the name at side of y axis line

Call it   Attitudes to college education from the 605 parents interviewed.' = y line.

Step 4. Write the name under x axis line

Call it  Percentage of parents who both disagree or agree  = x axis

Step 5 We can color code red blue and purple or pink dots to represent cultural race just three colors like orange blue and silver.

Step 6  Group each grid in the chart into percentages

by using  imputing the value before /202  the first group ie) 10 (B) strongly disagree you enter into calculator  10/202 = 4.95% percentage and do this a few times for each

11/202   shows somewhat disagree percentage for black parents (B) can be put next to each result. (B) SOMD = 5.44%

Then when you do Hispanic start with 8/202  as this is under 10 we move the decimal back still 2 units if it was a larger number it would still be placed back 2 units to the left  (H) STrD = 3.96%

Step-by-step explanation:

So for step 6 you just need the data ive done 4 for you just 8 more needed for percentages.

Step 7.  You design a way to show all the percentages so you condense the data to evenly show a broad graph

We know that 154/202 = 76.23% is the highest percent so if you are showing 8 or more values we can show 10 values 10%, 20%, 30% at the bottom of the x axis.

Just remember to do your percentages 8/201 for white parents as the number 202 was for the other groups.

Step 8. Do a color code last to the right. Just away from any dots with Black parents ------- put the color in the bar

one on top of each other in a box to the right of the graph after the letter x but higher up.

Step 9 You could draw a line of fit and call it a scatter graph

And underneath the actual graph write 2 lines about what a line of fit is.

This shows a modest and intelligent way of keeping groups in proportion to their warranted and valued answer.

This must be a subtle way for parents to absorb all advanced data shown.

Its just a challenge to see if all the percentages can fit and meet up in a coordinated way. If it doesn't work then perhaps you can relabel x axis frequency and show the same data on y on x but a new name so it can always be understood and both meet at same numbers.  But i think the percentages would work and show better intelligence, along with a color code showing pretty stars or dots to make the colors coordinated is another way to make all parents feel valued whatever the race.

Mr. Hoya brought 5 watermelons from his grocery store. The watermelons weighed 8 1/4 pound, 9 1/4 pound, 8 7/8 pound, 9 5/8 poun
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
First add all the watermelon weights together (to add the fourths and the eighths multiply the fourths by 2 (1/4x2=2/8) and add the numerators). Then multiply the number of people (153) by how much they each ate (1/4). Then subtract the total amount eaten (38 1/4) from the total weight (46 3/4) and compare that with 8 1/2... The left overs are actually equal to 8 1/2 pounds :)

Alice studies the relationship between climate and heart disease around the world. H(t)H(t)H, left parenthesis, t, right parenth
ddd [48]

Answer:

The domain of the function H(t), is [-5, 30].

The range of the function H(t), is [(10% + average), (average - 20%)]

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain of a function is the complete set of possible values of the independent variable.

For this question, the function is H(t), with the temperature, t, serving as the independent variables and H(t) the evidently dependent variable.

The domain of a function refers to all the possible independent variable values that will give corresponding real dependent variable values.

For this question, Alice's model has the probability for the occurrence of heart disease (in percents relative to the global average) at an area, H(t) varying with the temperature of that area in degree Celsius.

At a temperature of -5°C (the lowest temperature in the model), the probability is 10% above the average.

Then, the probability decreases with increase in temperature, taking a value 20% lower than the average when the temperature is at its highest of 30°C in the model.

So, temperature ranges from -5°C to 30°C and the probability for the occurrence of heart disease ranges from 10% above the average to 20% below the average.

The domain of the function H(t), from the definition given above would therefore be [-5, 30]

And the range of the function H(t), is [(10% + average), (average - 20%)]

Hope this Helps!!!

A local cable company claims that the proportion of people who have Internet access is less than 63%. To test this claim, a rand
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

For the null hypothesis,

H0 : p = 0.63

For the alternative hypothesis,

Ha : p < 0.63

This is a left tailed test

Considering the population proportion, probability of success, p = 0.63

q = probability of failure = 1 - p

q = 1 - 0.63 = 0.37

Considering the sample,

Sample proportion, P = x/n

Where

x = number of success = 478

n = number of samples = 800

P = 478/800 = 0.6

We would determine the test statistic which is the z score

z = (P - p)/√pq/n

z = (0.6 - 0.63)/√(0.63 × 0.37)/800 = - 1.76

From the normal distribution table, the area below the test z score in the left tail 0.039

Thus

p = 0.039
