Without being presented the model, and only according to what was written in the statement, we can say that the limitations to the model may come into two. First being the new species of animals that have entered the forest. As this is unknown it will be difficult to dig deeper into the problem. Second, is that with the animal species being unknown, it will also be very difficult to identify the bacteria present.
