Answer:

Each member in the group that went to the candy store named  Sugar Shack

received a larger portion of a candy bar because each member in the group got  5/7 of a candy bar.

Step-by-step explanation:

Okay so first I am a visual learner so I drew a picture! I started with Sweet Dreams. I drew 4 candy bars and split each candy bar in 6 pieces. Each friend got 1/6 of each candy bar. This means if someone went to Sweet Dreams they got a total of 4/6 of a candy bar. Which is equivalent to  2/3. I then converted that into a decimal which is about .66 and then I went on to Sugar Shack. I then drew 5 candy bars split in 7ths. Each person got a seventh out of each candy bar. This means they got a total of 5/7. I then converted that into a decimal which is about .714. Since .71 is greater than .66 that means people at Sugar Shack got a larger portion. Hope this helps!!! Good luck on the assignment!

Dora drove east at a constant rate of 75 kph. One hour later, Tim started driving on the same road at a constant rate of 90 kph.
PIT_PIT [208]
Ok so let T=time from when Tim starts
Distance Tim travels= T*90
Distance Dora travels=T*75 + 75  (<as already started)
for him to have caught up His distance must equal hers so:
90T=75T + 75  (now minus 75T)
15T=75  (now divide by 15)
T=5 :)
So five hourse, hope this helped :)

What is the distance, to the nearest whole number, from K (5, 6) to P (1, 1)?
Elza [17]

Answer:

<h3>The answer is 6 units</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance between two points can be found by using the formula

d =  \sqrt{ ({x1 - x2})^{2}  +  ({y1 - y2})^{2} }  \\

where

(x1 , y1) and (x2 , y2) are the points

From the question the points are

K (5, 6) P (1, 1)

The distance from K to P is

|KP|  =  \sqrt{ ({5 - 1})^{2} +  ({6 - 1})^{2}  }  \\  =  \sqrt{ {4}^{2} +  {5}^{2}  }  \\  =  \sqrt{16 + 25}  \\  =  \sqrt{41}  \\  = 6.403124

We have the final answer as

<h3>6 units to the nearest whole number</h3>

Hope this helps you

Max found a pair of jeans on sale for 40 percent off. He used a coupon for an additional 20 percent off. If the original price o
Fittoniya [83]
First, you need to take 40% off of the original price ($68) to find the discount. to do this, multiply 68 by 0.4 (.4 is 40% in decimal form). You should get $27. 20.  Next, you subtract this from 68- keep in mind that we found the discount, not the actual price. 68- 27.20= 40.8. Now, we multiply this by 20%, or 0.2- you should get 8.16. Subtract that from 40.8 to get <u>$32.64</u>.
