A new drug claims to reduce the number of eczema breakouts an individual suffers. In a study on the effectiveness of the new dru

g, 50 subjects were given the new drug and another 50 subjects were given a placebo.
At the end of the 6-month study, the group given the new drug reported an average of 1.3 breakouts a month. The group given the placebo reported an average of 4.5 breakouts a month.

The data from the study are rerandomized 10 times. The difference of the means from rerandomization are

1.5, 3.0, 1.8, 1.3, 2.1, 1.9, 2.5, 0.7, 2.1, and 1.9.

What is the most appropriate conclusion about the new drug to draw from this information?

A- The new drug does not appear to reduce the number of eczema breakouts since the rerandomized mean differences are close to the mean difference found between the two groups studied.

B- The new drug appears to reduce the number of eczema breakouts since the rerandomized mean differences are close to the mean difference found between the two groups studied.

C- The new drug does not appear to reduce the number of eczema breakouts since the rerandomized mean differences are considerably greater than the mean difference found between the two groups studied.

D- The new drug appears to reduce the number of eczema breakouts since the rerandomized mean differences are considerably less than the mean difference found between the two groups studied.

Angle A and B are supplementary. Angle a has a measure of 80. What is the measure of angle B? The measure of angle B is
ololo11 [35]
Well when two angles are supplementary they equal 180.
So if angle A is 80 degrees then that would mean that angle B equals 100 degrees.

Julio cubes a number then takes the cube root of the result. He ends up with 20. What number did Julio start with
Vesnalui [34]

Let us say that the number is x.

So the first step that Julio do is to cube the number so that:

x^3

Then the next he did was take cube root of the number, so that:

(x^3)^(1/3)

Solving this would result in:

x^(3/3) = x^1 = x

Since he ends up with 20, therefore:

x = 20

<span>Julio started and ended with the same number which is 20.</span>

14 T 1,000 lb. + 2 T 1,000
Olegator [25]

The answer will be 17 tons.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

14 T 1,000 lb. + 2 T 1,000 lb.

As we know that

1\ ton=2000\ lbs\\\\14\ tons=2000\times 14\ lbs\\\\14\ tons=28000\ lbs

So, 14 T 1,000 lb. is given by

28000\ lbs+1000\ lbs\\\\=29000\ lbs

Similarly,

1\ ton=2000\ lbs\\\\2\Tons=2\times 2000\ lbs\\\\2\ tons=4000\ lbs

so,

2T 1,000 lb. is given by

4000+1000\\\\=5000\ lbs

So,  14 T 1,000 lb. + 2 T 1,000 lbs is given by

29000+5000\\\\=34000\ lbs\\\\=\frac{34000}{2000}\\\\=17\ tons

Hence, the answer will be 17 tons.
