A relief worker needs to divide 810 bottles of water and 324 cans of food into boxes that each contain the same number of items.

 Also, each box must contain the same type of item (bottled water or canned food). What is the largest number of relief supplies that can be put in each box?

Answer:

the largest number of relief supply that can put in a box is  T =7

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question  we are told that

     The number of bottles to divide is n = 810 \ bottles

       The  number of  cans of food is m = 324 \ cans

First we need to find the Highest common factor of 810  and  324

Applying the Euclid algorithm(This method involves subtracting the difference from the smallest number till the differerence is zero  )

   We have

            810 -324 * 1  =486

            486 - 324  *  1 = 162

              324 -162  * 1 = 162

               162 -162 * 1 = 0

 Thus the HCF is  162

So the maximum number of boxes is  z =  162 boxes

   The number of bottles of water in each box is  k = \frac{810}{162} = 5 \ bottles

    The number of  cans of food in each box is y = \frac{324}{162} = 2 \ cans

 Thus the largest number of relief supply that be put in the box is

            T  =  k+ y

            T  = 5 + 2

            T  =7

HELP PLEASE. Which regression equation best fits these data?
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

B. y = -0.58x^2 -0.43x +15.75

Step-by-step explanation:

The data has a shape roughly that of a parabola opening downward. So, you'll be looking for a 2nd-degree equation with a negative coefficient of x^2. There is only one of those, and its y-intercept (15.75) is in about the right place.

The second choice is appropriate.

_____

The other choices are ...

A. a parabola opening upward

C. an exponential function decaying toward zero on the right and tending toward infinity on the left

D. a line with negative slope (This might be a good linear regression model, but the 2nd-degree model is a better fit.)

For the binomial expansion of (x + y)^10, the value of k in the term 210x 6y k is a) 6 b) 4 c) 5 d) 7
Sloan [31]

Answer:

a) 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Expanding the polynomial using the formula:

$(x+y)^n=\sum_{k=0}^n \binom{n}{k} x^{n-k} y^k $

Also

$\binom{n}{k}=\frac{n!}{(n-k)!k!}$

I think you mean 210x^6y^4

We can deduce that this term will be located somewhere in the middle. So I will calculate k= 5; k=6 \text{ and } k =7.

For k=5

$\binom{10}{5} (y)^{10-5} (x)^{5}=\frac{10!}{(10-5)! 5!}(y)^{5} (x)^{5}= \frac{10 \cdot 9 \cdot 8 \cdot 7 \cdot 6 \cdot 5! }{5! \cdot 5 \cdot 4 \cdot 3 \cdot 2 \cdot 1 } \\ =\frac{30240}{120} =252 x^{5} y^{5}$

Note that we actually don't need to do all this process. There's no necessity to calculate the binomial, just x^{n-k} y^k

For k=6

$\binom{10}{6} \left(y\right)^{10-6} \left(x\right)^{6}=\frac{10!}{(10-6)! 6!}\left(y\right)^{4} \left(x\right)^{6}=210 x^{6} y^{4}$
