Enhancerless GFP reporter constructs used in research conducted in mice contain a generic mouse gene promoter (TATA box) followe
balandron [24]

Answer:

the reporter gene can randomly insert near to an enhancer sequence which can induce its expression

Explanation

Enhancers are genetic sequences capable of activating gene expression by binding to specific proteins (e.g., transcription factors). Enhancers can regulate the expression of nearby genes located thousands of nucleotides away, i.e., over several kilobases away. In the human genome, it is well known that enhancers are scattered across the 98% of the genome. In this case, it is expected that the reporter GFP gene construct is randomly inserted near an enhancer sequence (a 10% chance of insertion), thereby being regulated by that enhancer.

Which two factors contributed to creating a truly global culture? a decrease in population growth rate improvements in telecommu
lora16 [44]

Answer:

1. Improvements in telecommunication

2. Improvements in global travel

Explanation:

Global culture refers to the transmission of beliefs, values, and ideas around the world that has a significant impact in the behavior of society. This has been evolving through time, especially since the Industrial Revolution. Today, we are capable of communicating with other people as quickly and easy as ever in the history of humanity and this will keep evolving as technology evolves as well.

This evolution is due to science and technology, especially to the improvements in telecommunication, which enables us to communicate with people from other countries through calls, social media messagings, e-mails, etc., and to the improvements in global travel, which is much more accessible today than it was before, allowing individuals to move from one country to the other easily and constantly and improving socialization between people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Alex

Phenylketonuria

Explanation:

Phenylketonuria (PKU) is a type of a rare inherited metabolic disorder.

Etiology: PKU results from excessive accumulation of the amino acid phenylalanine in the body. Normally, phenylalanine will be converted to tyrosine (forms neurotransmitters) by the action of the enzyme phenylalanine hydroxylase.

Among people with PKU, a defect in the PAH gene which codes to synthesize this enzyme occurs which leads to the absence of this enzyme. So the phenylalanine which is normally present in dietary protein is not metabolized and gets accumulated. This gene is inherited by the child only if both the parents are with the defective PAH gene.

Symptoms: Stunted growth, behaviroral disturbances, learning difficulties, seizures, tremors etc.

Treatment: Basic treatment is to follow a diet which limits dietary sources of phenylalanine. High protein foods like meat, egg should be avoided. Children can be given PKU formula to supplement their nutritional needs.

You are describing the solar nebula theory to a friend. You point out that it provides an explanation for the regular motion in
Goryan [66]

Explanation:

The widely accepted theory which explains the formation of the solar system is known as the Nebular theory of origin.

The Nebular theory states that the solar system is formed by the explosion of the large gaseous clouds in the centre due to various factors which took place around 457 million years ago.

The explosion leads to the formation of the dust particles which accumulated in large amount in the centre and the suspended particles revolved around it and formed the planets and the centre is known as the sun.

The theory can be proved as :

1. the direction of rotation of planetary bodies are in the same around the same direction.

2. The suspended particles formed the disk around the planets.

3. The planets near the Sun are small and possess lass amount of metals and the silicates whereas the planets far away from the Sun-like Jupiter are larger due to the presence of these metals and silicate which attracted the hydrogen and Helium.
