Answer:

Depending on the magnitude of the hurricane, the distribution and abundance of organisms can be transformed in one day. For example, some species of trees can be extinguished from the island because they do not resist the massive entry of salt water. For many species hurricanes are high risk factors that decrease diversity because strong winds and rains directly affected them

Biodiversity can also be affected in a positive way in some cases, for example, the fall of trees and the formation of clearings results in an increase in the germination of seeds of tree species. However, if the fall is massive in times of drought, the fires resulting from the burning of dry biomass will be increased, which negatively affects diversity.

Aleksandr [31]

A conversational plan with two habitat preserves, measuring a total of 20 square kilometers combined will preserve more species because this cause segregation of species based on their adaptability towards a safer and secure environment. For example if a lion and deer try to live in the same conservation area, then it’s obvious that the life of deer is always at risk. But in cases of segregated preserved areas both herbivorous and carnivorous animals can live separately. Also if there is special inclination of one species towards other then also these two species can live separately.

Segregation also enhances the diversity in the sense that it could lead to a new ecosystem with a new ecological balance within it. Conservation biologists focus on these areas as they claim that  where the greatest number of unique species can be found and protected with in the large number of reserve areas with the least amount of effort

Acentric chromosomes, which lack centromeres, can form as a result of chromosome breakage or as a consequence of inversion with
Furkat [3]

Answer:

It wouldn't be able to migrate to the cell's poles.

Explanation:

During anaphase, microtubules attach the chromosome's centromeres and start dragging them towards the poles of the cell. In mitosis, this causes the separation of both sister chromatids for each chromosome, and each chromatid migrates to a different pole. In meiosis, first each homologous chromosome is separated by the same process, and then the sister chromatids are separated during anaphase II. If a chromosome doesn't have centromeres, microtubules are unable to attach the chromosomes, and so the separation of either sister chromatids or homologous chromosomes can't take place.

Which factors determine whether a cell enters G0?
Delvig [45]

The appropriate answer for this one is C. Cancer cells divide uncontrollably and therefore the cell cycle would be continuously divide. To add, there is a term known as terminally differentiated cells. These cells that never enter the cell cycle again, meaning they stay in G0 and never divide. However, some cells can be triggered to depart G0 and re-enter G1, which permits them to divide again.
