All cells have a protective covering known as cell membrane. In plants, the cell membrane is further protected by another layer called cell wall. All the organelles present inside the cells are membrane bounded structure.
Cell membranes are made up of phospholipid bilayer with extrinsic and intrinsic proteins. From the studies on the plasma membrane structure, it was found that the protein fingerprint of MITOCHONDRIA and CHLOROPLAST are most similar to the cell membrane.

Drag each tile to the correct box. Not all tiles will be used. Place the tiles in order so that they describe a population under
Kisachek [45]

The question is incomplete as it does not have the tiles which has been presented in the attachment.

Explanation:

Natural selection is the mechanism by which the species evolve. The species evolve under the influence of the natural pressure due to which the species try to hit and trial method of the adaptive trait. The trait which increases the fitness of a species is passed on to the next generation and the trait becomes established in a population.

This can be observed in the following scenario

1. The hawks predate on the rabbit species with white fur easily as they can be seen from the sky easily.

2. This acts as a pressure on the white rabbits as a result of which the white rabbits to hide themselves mutate and change the colour of the fur from white to brown or tan.

3. The founder effect will eliminate the white fur population from the whole population

4. The population with brown fur will increase with time and the trait will become a permanent trait.

Which of the following is an important exception to the central dogma of molecular biology? a) Proteins are responsible for most
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

b: many genes code for RNAs that function directly in the cell

Explanation:

<em>The central dogma</em> theory describes the basic framework for gene expression in living organisms. Genetic information from DNA is encoded or transcribed as RNA which then becomes translated as proteins.

The processes that take place for gene to be successfully expressed are;

  • Replication
  • Transcription
  • Translation

<em>Replication</em> is a process whereby DNA makes a copy of itself to be distributed in daughter cells during cell division.

<em>Transcription</em> is the process whereby genetic information in DNA is encoded as RNAs. The RNAs are short-lived as they are quickly utilized in protein synthesis or <em>translation </em>process.

Hence, the RNAs do not function directly in the cells but mere intermediaries in the synthesis of proteins.

<em>The correct option is b.</em>

Look at the data related to honey bee population losses between 2006 and 2013 (Figure 1). Expand on the data. How would you revi
olga_2 [115]

In order to improve the graph and make it more detailed in order to get a better perception why the honey bee populations are decreasing, there's few things that can be added.

- Number of bee keepers over the period

The number of the honey bee colonies is directly connected as to how many bee keepers there are. If there's a trend of a decline in the bee keepers, than there will be a trend in the decline of the honey bees.

- Area of trees suitable for the honey bees

The trees are crucial for the honey bees to be able to produce honey, thus it is very important that they have a certain area of trees on which they can feed upon. If there's a decline in the number of trees for the bees, than the bees will be dying from starvation.

- Pollution

The honey bees are animals that are very sensitive to changes in the environment, especially when it comes to pollution. If the levels of pollution are increasing in areas where there's honey bees, it will certainly affect their numbers in a negative manner.
