According to the given information, quadrilateral RECT is a rectangle. By the definition of a rectangle, all four angles measure

90°. Segment ER is parallel to segment CT and segment EC is parallel to segment RT by the ________________. Quadrilateral RECT is then a parallelogram by definition of a parallelogram. Now, construct diagonals ET and CR. Because RECT is a parallelogram, opposite sides are congruent. Therefore, one can say that segment ER is congruent to segment CT. Segment TR is congruent to itself by the Reflexive Property of Equality. The Side-Angle-Side (SAS) Theorem says triangle ERT is congruent to triangle CTR. And because corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent (CPCTC), diagonals ET and CR are congruent.

Unfortunately, this problem apparently comes without a diagram (or you have not shared the diagram that came with it).  I'd strongly suggest either finding and posting the diagram or sketching your own diagram.  Then we could refer to the rectangle more meaningfully (more specifically).  Next, please identify what it is that you need to know to get started.

To be frank, your post looks like an explanation of a rectangle problem;  you don't appear to be asking a question except for the one place where there's a blank that you're supposed to fill in.

AnnyKZ [126]

Answer:

The number of outfits she purchase with the left money = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The exact question is as follows :

Given - Nevaeh has $560 to spend at a bicycle store for some new gear and biking outfits. Assume all prices listed include tax. She buys a new bicycle for $383.32. She buys 4 bicycle reflectors for $9.09 each and a pair of bike gloves for $21.07. She plans to spend some or all of the money she has left to buy new biking outfits for $39.75 each.

To find - Write and solve an inequality which can be used to determine  x  where x, the number of outfits Nevaeh can purchase while staying within her budget.

Proof -

Given that,

Total money Nevaeh have = $ 560

She spent money on bicycle = $ 383.32

She spend money on 1 reflector = $ 9.09

As she buy 4 bicycle reflector, So

Total money spent on bicycle reflector = $ 4×9.09 = $ 36.36

She spend money on a pair of bike gloves = $ 21.07

So,

Total money she spend on the items = $ 383.32 + 36.36 + 21.07

                                                              = $ 440.75

⇒Total money she spend on the items = $ 440.75

So,

Total money Left = $ 560 - $ 440.75 = $ 119.25

Now,

She plans to spend some or all of the money she has left to buy new biking outfits for $ 39.75 each.

Let us assume ,

The number of outfits she purchase with the left money = x

AS,

each outfit cost = $ 39.75

So, x outfits cost = $ 39.75 x

Now,

$ 39.75 x = $ 119.25     (because total money left = $ 119.25)

⇒ x = \frac{119.25}{39.75} = 3

∴ we get

The number of outfits she purchase with the left money = x = 3

A weather balloon has a volume of 90.0 L when it is released from sea level 101 kPa. What is the atmospheric pressure on the bal
kirza4 [7]

Answer:

<em><u>The final atmospheric pressure is 5.19 · 10⁴ Pa</u></em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming that the temperature of the air does not change, we can use Boyle's law, which states that for a gas kept at constant temperature, the pressure of the gas is inversely proportional to its volume. In formula,

pV = const.

where p is the gas pressure and V is the volume

The equation can also be rewritten as

p₁ V₁ = p₂ V₂

where in our problem we have:

p₁ = 1.03 · 10₅ Pa is the initial pressure (the atmospheric pressure at sea level)

V₁ = 90.0L is the initial volume

p₂ is the final pressure

V₂ = 175.0L is the final volume

Solving the equation for p2, we find the final pressure:

p₂ = p₁ v₁ divided by V₂ = (1.01 · 10⁵)(90.0) divided by 175.0 = 5.19 · 10⁴ Pa

CL 6-131. Solve each system using the method of your choice.
shepuryov [24]

System 1: The solution is (x, y) = (-4, 5)

System 2:  The solution is (x, y) = (\frac{11}{3}, -3)

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

<em><u>Given system of equations are:</u></em>

2x + 3y = 7 ------ eqn 1

-3x - 5y = -13 --------- eqn 2

We can solve by elimination method

Multiply eqn 1 by 3

6x + 9y = 21 ------ eqn 3

Multiply eqn 2 by 2

-6x - 10y = -26 ------- eqn 4

Add eqn 3 and eqn 4

6x + 9y -6x - 10y = 21 - 26

-y = -5

y = 5

Substitute y = 5 in eqn 1

2x + 3(5) = 7

2x + 15 = 7

2x = -8

x = -4

Thus the solution is (x, y) = (-4, 5)

<h3><em><u>Second system of equation is:</u></em></h3>

8 - y = 3x ------ eqn 1

2y + 3x = 5 ----- eqn 2

We can solve by susbtitution method

From given,

y = 8 - 3x ----- eqn 3

Substitute eqn 3 in eqn 2

2(8 - 3x) + 3x = 5

16 - 6x + 3x = 5

3x = 16 - 5

3x = 11

x = \frac{11}{3}

Substitute the above value of x in eqn 3

y = 8 - 3x

y = 8 - 3 \times \frac{11}{3}\\\\y = 8 - 11\\\\y = -3

Thus the solution is (x, y) = (\frac{11}{3}, -3)

Subtract 69000 from 60000. Answer becomes 9000. So you add 9000 to 69000 2 times. Your answer becomes 87000.
