Which statement best explains the historical contradiction about women that Woolf describes?
yuradex [85]

Answer: b.) Women filled the pages of poetry but earned little attention in history books.

Woolf was one of the most significant figures in early feminism. One of the reasons why this was the case was that Woolf noticed the secondary place that women had in society, and in particular, in writing. She argued that women were only recognized in areas that were considered "feminine," such as poetry. However, their contributions were unrecognized or altogether forgotten in other areas, such as when writing history books.

Write a story that ends with the sentence, we were lucky that night
Studentka2010 [4]
A few years ago me and my sister went to the store late at night to go get some snacks. we spent like an hour looking around in the store and goofing off. finally we got tired and we were ready to go home. we checked out and started walking out the the car, across the dark parking lot. we started getting closer and i felt super uneasy, like i was being watched. i told my sister to hurry and get in the car because i was nervous. we both have anxiety so when i said this it immediately caused her to get worried so we threw the stuff in the car really fast and jumped in. As we were driving away, i looked out the back window and saw a tall man in a mask by the dark spot of the parking lot. if i wouldn’t have said anything who knows what could’ve happened to us, we were lucky that night.

kipiarov [429]
The detail which best show that the narrator's activism has changed practices in the community is this: 'three weeks later, two businesses had signed on and two more said they do think about it. This option is the correct one because it shows that two businesses in the community has implemented the desired change already and two more businesses are on the verge of doing the same, which means the narrator's activism is already generating positive results in the community. <span />
