Answer:

The function  is  D =  2sin ( \frac{\pi}{2}  - \frac{\pi}{12} t) + 6

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The  maximum depth is d =  8 \  ft

      The  minimum depth is  d_i =  4 \  ft

Generally the average depth is mathematically represented as

       d_a =  \frac{8 + 4}{2}

=>   d_a  =  6 \  ft

Generally  the amplitude is mathematically represented as

      A =  d - d_a

=>    A =  8 -  6

=>    A =  2

Generally the period is  24 hours given that the the interval between the maximum depth and the minimum depth is half a day

Generally the period is mathematically represented as

         T  =  \frac{2 \pi }{w}

here w is the angular  frequency

So

     w =  \frac{2 \pi}{24}

      w =  \frac{\pi}{12}

Generally the depth can be modeled with a sin function as follows

     D =  Acos  (wt) + d_a

Now  from co-function identity we have  that for \ cos (z) =  sin (\frac{\pi}{2}  -  z)

So

     D =  Asin  ( \frac{\pi}{2}  - wt) + d_a

     D =  2sin  ( \frac{\pi}{2}  - \frac{\pi}{12} t) + 6

Here is a scale drawing of a window frame that uses a scale of 1 cm to 6 inches.Create another scale drawing of the window frame
Tresset [83]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Below is the rectangle in the attachment.

Current scale:

1 cm : 6 inches

If the dimensions of the rectangle is:

Length = a cm

Width = b cm

Using the scale:

Length = a × 6 inches

Width = b × 6 inches

Using the same dimensions of the rectangle is:

Length = a cm

Width = b cm

Using the scale:

Length = a × 12 inches

Width = b × 12 inches

Note that there is an enlargement of the rectangle to form the new rectangle. The length and width of new rectangle drawn will be 2 × the length and width of the rectangle seen below.

The graphs below have the same shape. The equation of the blue graph is f(x) = 2x. Which of these is the equation of the red gra
Allisa [31]
The main thing you want to ask yourself is "What is the difference between the two graphs?"

As we can see, the graphs look identical in every way except that g(x) is lower than f(x).

This means that the graph is shifted down a certain amount.

If we look at the y-intercepts of the two functions, we see that f(x) has a y-intercept of 1, and g(x) has a y-intercept of -1.

This means that f(x) is two units lower than g(x).

The y-intercept of a function can be changed by adding or subtracting a number to the original function (in this case 2^{x}).

Because the graph f(x) is 2 lower than the graph of g(x), we can find g(x) by subtracting 2 from f(x).

Therefore, g(x) = 2^{x} - 2.
