Answer:

The ratio is 4:3:5

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to find the ratio of each of the shares.

Josh ‘ate’ the rest.

We need to find that fraction that Josh ate.

To find this, we only need to subtract the sum of what the first two are from 1 ( 1/1 is the total fraction at any point in time)

So that would be;

1 - 1/3 -1/4 = (12-3-4)/12 = 5/12

So the fraction Josh ate is 5/12

Now to find the ratio, it is best to give an arbitrary measurement as the total size or weight of the pizza. Let’s say the weight of the pizza is 12kg ( this can be any figure, we just need it introduced so we can measure the ratio in terms of weight other than fraction which could be confusing)

So the weight ate by individual are as follows;

Mike ate 1/3 = 1/3 * 12 = 4kg

Sam ate 1/4 = 1/4 * 12 = 3kg

Josh ate 5/12 = 5/12 * 12 = 5kg

So therefore, the ratio of Mike to Sam to Josh share is 4:3:5

Caleb solved this equation and recorded his work. 7.4x + 4.1(2x − 4) = −2.3(x − 6) − 21.6 1. 7.4x + 8.2x − 16.4 = −2.3x + 13.8 −
IRINA_888 [86]
For this case we have the following equation:
7.4x + 4.1 (2x - 4) = -2.3 (x - 6) - 21.6

Step 1 of the solution is to make the distributive property.
We have then:
7.4x + 8.2x - 16.4 = -2.3x + 13.8 - 21.6

Step 1 is correct.
The step is to combine similar terms. Caleb wrote: 7.4x + 8.2x - 16.4 = -2.3x + 35.4

He wrongly combined the similar terms on the right side of the equation.
The correct solution is: 7.4x + 8.2x - 16.4 = -2.3x -7.8

Answer:
In step 2, the like terms were not combined on the right side of the equation.

Suppose that the concentration of a bacteria sample is 100000 bacteria per milliliter. If the concentration doubles every 2 hour
Aliun [14]

Answer:

3.85 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that the model equation in this case would be of the following type, being "and" the concentration of bacteria:

y = a * e ^ (b * t)

where a and b are constants and t is time.

We know that when the time is 0, we know that there are 100,000 bacteria, therefore:

100000 = a * e ^ (b * 0)

100000 = a * 1

a = 100000

they tell us that when the time is 2 hours, the amount doubles, that is:

200000 = a * e ^ (b * 2)

already knowing that a equals 100,000

e ^ (b * 2) = 2

b * 2 = ln 2

b = (ln 2) / 2

b = 0.3465

Having the value of the constants, we will calculate the value of the time when there are 380000, that is:

380000 = 100000 * (e ^ 0.3465 * t)

3.8 = e ^ 0.3465 * t

ln 3.8 = 0.3465 * t

t = 1.335 / 0.3465

t = 3.85

That is to say that in order to reach this concentration 3.85 hours must pass

Katy had two choices of routes to get her to work. She wanted to choose the route that would get her to work fastest, on average
zmey [24]

Answer:

D. There is not enough evidence at the 5% significance level to indicate that one route gets Katy to work faster, on average, since 0 falls within the bounds of the confidence interval.

Step-by-step explanation:

At 5% confidence level, Katy found difference in mean commuting times (Route 1-Route 2) in minutes as (-1,9).

Since no difference in means (0 min) falls within the confidence level (-1,9), we can not reject the hypothesis that there is no difference in mean commuting times when using Route1 or Route2.

A higher significance level(10% etc) may lead a shorter confidence interval leaving 0 outside and may reach a conclusion that Route1 takes longer than Route2
