There is a lot of deliberate word choice happening here. For instance, Jefferson uses the word “slaves.” (Had he said referred t

o these individuals as “servants,” “prisoners,” “animals,” or “property,” his meaning would be much different.) In this fashion, analyze his purposeful word choice pertaining to the words “slaughtered” and “carted.”

1. Which of these activities is the best example of cunning?
prohojiy [21]

I think this is right but I'm not sure but I'll try my best

1) D because cunning refers to skill in deceit and trickery, and telling a convincing lie is the only option that involves both skill and deceit.

2) D because to speak to somebody in confidence means that you want to be confident that the information shared is between the group you share confidence with. Nurse wishes to speak to Romeo in confidence that he will not tell anybody because it is a secret and she wishes only for Romeo to know.

3) B because to counter something means to go against that thing. An example is a counter-argument, or an argument against another argument.

4) B because that is the act against someone. All the other options demonstrate a command, but not a countermand, if you get my gist.

5) A (i think) because the decision to get married was an unwise and hasty decision made of young lust, and ulimately caused the great tragedy. If Romeo and Juliet had taken things slower, things might've been possible renegotiated or at least thought over.

6) B because Friar Lawrence is really Romeo's 'father figure' because his father is so often absent in his life. He acts as a mentor and tries to help Romeo get married to his love.

What does the metaphor of the "bending sickle's compass" in line 10 represent? 1.the limits of time
Grace [21]
Referring to sonnet 116, I believe the answer is 1. .the limits of time
Through that metaphor, i William shakesphere shares his view on how he sees love. He believed that loves is not something that could be measured by countable time measurement because it's something that internal and exceeds the limit of time.

Samuel answers his work phone. He says: "Hello, Leah's Software Repair. Samuel speaking." What mistakes does Samuel make?
patriot [66]

Answer:

Hey there!

Samuel should introduce himself first, then state where he is from. A better introduction would be, "Hello, this is Samuel from Leah's Software Repair."

Let me know if this helps :)
