Answer:  "She dressed plainly because she could not dress well, but she was unhappy as if she had really fallen from a higher station..." I think this is a good example of foreshadowing because it is saying that she is so unhappy as if she had fallen down from a higher station, but she really will fall down and she doesn't even see it coming. When they went to the jeweler, but he said that he didn't make it which foreshadowed that it was fake.
