Most of it you can't drink.

Explanation:

Well most of the earth is covered by the ocean and the ocean water contains salt which would make most of the water in your body come out from urination. The fresh water that is drinkable gets contaminated with chemicals. This is why their are water shortages.

Answer: I think this is the case, because despite there being an abundance of water on Earth. Clean and purified water in some countries is hard to come by, and distribution is meager.
