S=2\pi r^2+2\pi rh

We need to solve for h. It means we need to get 'h' alone

First we subtract 2\pi r^2 on both sides

S - 2\pi r^2=2\pi r^2- 2\pi r^2+2\pi rh

S - 2\pi r^2=2\pi rh

Now we divide by  2\pi r on both sides

\frac{S - 2\pi r^2}{2\pi r} = \frac{2\pi rh}{2\pi r}

\frac{S - 2\pi r^2}{2\pi r} =h

We got h alone. Solved for h

h=\frac{S - 2\pi r^2}{2\pi r}

Here are the ingredients to make 12 cupcakes.
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

Mark needs 2 kg butter, 2 kg caster sugar, 14 eggs, and 1.5 kg flour.

Step-by-step explanation:

Alright, first you double the number of kids, as Mark wants each kid to have two cupcakes, not one. (Then add 80+80 to get 160)

Now add the adults to children: 160+152=312

now divide by 12 to see how many batches of cupcakes he needs to make.

312÷12=26 So he needs to make 26 batches

Now here are the ingredients needed to make 12 batches of cupcakes (I multiplied the amount of each ingredient by 26)

5200 g (5.2 kg) butter, 5200 g (5.2 kg) caster sugar, 104 eggs, and 6500 g (6.5 kg) flour.

now make the measurements the same as Mark's ingredients (or the other way around)

(to save time I am not showing each one, just the normal ingredients turned into kg and compared)

5 kg butter < 5.2 kg butter

5 kg caster sugar < 5.2 kg butter

90 eggs < 104 eggs

5 kg flour < 6.5 kg flour

Now do a little subtraction.....

5.2 kg-5 kg = 2 kg butter is needed....

5.2 kg - 5 kg = 2 kg caster sugar is needed....

104 - 90 = 14 eggs needed....

6.5 kg - 5 kg = 1.5 kg flour needed....

And there you go!!! Hope this helped!!! :D

A triangle with exterior angles is shown. A triangle sits on a line and forms 2 exterior angles on the left and right of the tri
NARA [144]

Answer:

Option 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that a triangle sits on a line and forms 2 exterior angles on the left and right of the triangle of (2h) degrees.

The top interior angle of the triangle is 40 degrees.

\angle BAC=40

From the given figure it is clear that

\angle ABC+2h=180               (Supplementary angle)

\angle ABC=180-2h

\angle ACB+2h=180               (Supplementary angle)

\angle ACB=180-2h

According to the angle sum property of triangle, the sum of all interior angles of a triangle is 180 degree.

\angle ABC+\angle ACB+\angle BAC=180

(180-2h)+(180-2h)+40=180

Combine like terms.

(180+180+40)+(-2h-2h)=180

400-4h=180

-4h=180-400

-4h=-220

Divide both sides by -4.

h=\frac{-220}{-4}

h=55

The value of h is 55.

Therefore, the correct option is 3.

Y is inversely proportional to x.<br> Complete the table.<br> х<br> 15<br> 6<br> у<br> 5<br> 10
AlexFokin [52]

Answer:

When x = 15, y= 2

When y= 10, x= 3

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a question in inverse proportion. In this proportion, an increase in one quantity would lead to a decrease in the other and vice versa.

We are to complete the table using the relationship between x and y.

Given:

y is inversely proportional to x = y ∝ 1/x

∝ = proportional to

y ∝ 1/x

y = k × 1/x

Where k = constant of proportionality

To understand the relationship between y and x, we need to find the value of k.

y = k × 1/x

From the table,

When x = 6, y = 5

5 = k × 1/6

5 = k/6

k = 6×5 = 30

y = 30 × 1/x

y = 30/x

The above relationship would enable us find the missing parts.

When x = 15, y= ?

y = 30/15

y = 2

When y= 10, x= ?

10 = 30/x

10x = 30

x = 30/10

x= 3
