Question 5(Multiple Choice Worth 2 points) (03.02, 03.03, 03.04, 03.05, 03.06 MC) Read the excerpt from the story The City Museu

m and the opinion: A security guard appeared at the top of the staircase. The next thing Adalyn heard was the buzz of a walkie-talkie. "Yup, another couple of kids," the security guard said into the microphone. "Third pair this month. I'll bring 'em down to the office now." Adalyn had thought the security guard would be boiling mad, but as they were marched to the exit an hour later by their mother, he handed her a pamphlet. Adalyn could just make out the headline as her mother pulled her along towards the waiting taxi. "New this summer: Sleepover at the museum! Contact the information desk to book your stay." Perhaps all was not lost for Adalyn's plan. She'd just need to convince her mother. In my opinion, the security guard exemplified kindness in the story The City Museum. Select the evidence that best supports the opinion. The guard gave them information to stay at the museum overnight. The security guard called the cops, and the siblings got in big trouble. The security guard ratted them out to the front office and their mother. The security guard was boiling mad and escorted them to the office. The correct answer should be
B.Using AND between the search terms: golf AND stroke

If he used OR then either of the two would show up, including medical stroke. If he used quotation marks it would show things that have that exact word unchanged, which would include medical, and using NOT in such a way would only show golf without mentioning strokes at all.

Based on these excerpts, how do the Haida and Maori cultures view the mother-child relationship?
Travka [436]

The Haida and Maori cultures view the mother-child relationship as:

Both view mothers as caring and protective over their children.

The Haida myth focuses on creating light and people. The Haida creation myth is about a trickster who stole the sun, the moon and the stars in order to bring light to his own world. Even though he created animals, fish, trees, men, and all the creatures, they lived in darkness because he stole light.

On the other hand, the Maori myth focuses mostly on the relationship between parts of nature. The Maori creation myth tells the story how humans were born and how nature helped in their birth by sacrificing themselves.

Hope it helps.

Writing objectively can be a difficult skill to master, especially when you are writing about
Anna71 [15]

Answer:

Vegetarianism is, in general, the practice of living on a diet that does not include meat and even other animal products. There are, however, different kinds of vegetarian diets. Some may include eggs, for instance, while others may exclude eggs but include milk.

Explanation:

Writing objectively means writing in an unbiased, impartial manner. The writer avoids manifesting his own opinion and ideas on the subject. If you read the answer above, you will see the sentences are all impartial. They contain only facts about vegetarianism, but no opinions about it are voiced. Therefore, they are examples of objective writing. Compare them with the example below, which is written subjectively:

- Vegetarianism is too hard. I don't think I would last a week as a vegetarian.

See the difference? The subjective sentence above expresses a personal opinion.
