SOS

Answer:

a) 600,000 (1.018)ᵗ, the graph is below:

* "t" is the years. 2000 is the first year, so "t" would be 1. 2012 is the 12th year so "t" would be 12.

b) As the years go by, the population increases. The years (X), and population (Y) both increase together. The graph shows that when the years increase the population increases.

c) In 2012, which would be 12 years later, I predict the population would be around 743,232 people.

Y=600000(1+1.8%)^(x-2000)
So the population in 2012
Y=600,000×(1+0.018)^(2,012−2,000)
Y=743,232

5. How long will it take Greg to earn $500.00? Round to the nearest hour
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

61 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

See the attached figure to better understand the problem

we know that

A relationship between two variables, x, and y, represent a proportional variation if it can be expressed in the form y/x=k or y=kx

To find out the constant of proportionality k , divide the variable y (total earned) by the variable x (number of hours)

Kevin's wage

Take any point from the table

I take the point (2,16.50)

k=\frac{16.50}{2}=\$8.25\ per\ hour

The equation of the proportional relationship is equal to

y=kx

substitute the value of k

y=8.25x

For y=$500.00

substitute the value of y in the equation and solve for x

500=8.25x

Divide by 8.25 both sides

x=\frac{500}{8.25}=61\ h

N a circle with a radius of 2.8 cm, an arc is intercepted by a central angle of π5 radians. what is the arc length? use 3.14 for
Vilka [71]
By definition, the arc length is given by:
arc = (theta) * (R)
Where,
theta: central angle
R: radius
Substituting values we have:
arc = (π / 5) * (2.8)
Rewriting we have:
arc = ((3.14) / 5) * (2.8)
arc = 1.7584 cm
Round to the hundredth:
arc = 1.76 cm
Answer:

the arc length is:

arc = 1.76 cm
