a_1 =14, ~ a_{n+1}=n+15

[14, 29, 44, 59, 74]

Plug in the previous term for n, for example for a_2, you plug in a_1 for n.

The way she put it implies that she will sell many water bottles and only one iced tea. the correct equation would be 1.25x+1.49y=100, as she may sell different amounts of each.

What are the zeros of the quadratic function f(x) = 6x2 + 12x – 7?
Gnom [1K]

Answer:

A quadratic equation is of the form: ax^2+bx+c= 0 .....[1] where

a. b and c are coefficient and x is the variable.

The solutions of the equation are;

x = \frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

Given the function: f(x) = 6x^2+12x-7

To find the zero of this function.

Set f(x) = 0

⇒6x^2+12x-7=0

On comparing this with equation [1] we have;

a = 6, b = 12 and c = -7

then;

x = \frac{-12\pm\sqrt{(12)^2-4(6)(-7)}}{2(6)}

x = \frac{-12\pm\sqrt{144+168}}{12}

or

x = \frac{-12\pm\sqrt{312}}{12}

or

x = \frac{-12\pm 2\sqrt{78}}{12}

x = \frac{-6\pm \sqrt{78}}{6}

Therefore, the zeros of the quadratic function f(x) are;

\frac{-6+\sqrt{78}}{6} and \frac{-6-\sqrt{78}}{6}

If ce = 7x+4, find the value of x
Alex787 [66]

Hey there,

To find the value of x we can take the two, CD or DE and set them equal to CE.

First step is set the lines equal to each other:

  • x + 3 + 8x - 9 = 7x + 4

Now we combine like terms:

  • 9x - 6 = 7x + 4

Then we subtract 7x from both sides:

  • 2x - 6 = 4

Add 6 to both sides:

  • 2x = 10

Lastly we divide both sides by 2:

  • x = 5

So the value of x would have to be 5.

Hope I helped,

Amna

Eva, the owner of eva's second time around wedding dresses, currently has five dresses to be altered, shown in the order in whic
cupoosta [38]
To answer this question, an assumption must be made, that Eva spends 8 hours a day working. If this is the case, then Eva will complete jobs w, x, and v on day one, for a total of six hours. Since the next job (y) requires 4 hours, she will spend two hours working that day, leaving 2 more hours to go on that job. The next day she will spend 2 hours finishing job y, completing it, and finish the longest job z (hours) that day. This means she had 4 jobs on day one, and 2 jobs on day 2 for and average of 3 jobs per day.
This answer assumes an 8 hour work day, and that Eva can start a job she cannot finish that day.
