The correct answer is: Nonfiction

Nonfiction is one of the main categories in literature, it is opposed to fiction. It refers to the written books that are based on real events; helping the readers understand the world. As it addresses reality, real people, places, and events are used and described. Telling the truth is essential for this genre, if the author makes something up then it would be fiction. Actual facts are described, trying to follow the reality in the best way possible.

This categorie is divided in two:  literary nonfiction and informative nonfiction.

Curie risked her health for the sake of science.

PART B

"Marie spent many hours boiling down pitchblende in enormous pots...gasping and coughing from the fumes."

Explanation:

According to the text, "Marie Curie and the Discovery of Radioactivity", it is narrated that Curie was on a mission to uncover the mystery of radioactivity and she risked her life and general health by exposing herself to harmful substances so she can conclude her research.

The inference that can be made from the text is that Marie Curie risked her health for the sake of science.
