The dimensions of the bathroom floor is given as 2 yards by 3 yards.
Then
The area of the bathroom floor in question = (2 * 3) square yards
                                                                     = 6 square yards
We already know that
1 square yard = 9 square feet
So
The area of the bathroom floor in question = (6 * 9) square feet
                                                                     = 54 square feet
Area covered by each custom tiles = 11/2 square feet
Then
Number of tiles required to cover the bathroom floor = 54/(11/2)
                                                                                     = (54 * 2)/11
                                                                                     = 108/11
                                                                                     = 9.81
So the number of tiles required to cover the bathroom flooring is 10. Since fraction of tiles cannot be bought, so 10 tiles are required.

nadya68 [22]

Answer:

  • 12 students

Step-by-step explanation:

Below numbers are divisible by the number of students:

  • 28 - 4 = 24
  • 39 - 3 = 36

Lets find GCF of 24 and 36:

  • 24 = 2*2*2*3
  • 36 = 2*2*3*3
  • GCF(24,36) = 2*2*3 = 12

The largest possible number of students is 12

What is the balance on an amortized loan of $110,000 after the first payment if the interest rate is 5.5% with a monthly P&I
marishachu [46]
The interest due on the first payment is
.. I = Prt
.. I = 110,000*.055*(1/12)
.. I = 504.17

Then the decrease in principal resulting from the first payment is
.. 568.00 -504.17 = 63.83
and the new balance is
.. $110,000.00 -63.83 = $109,936.17

A football filters that is 60 m wide and 110 m long is being paved over to make a parking lot. The builder ordered 660,000,000 c
ad-work [718]
The answer is 10 cm

Imagine cement cover as a rectangle which volume is 660,000,000 cm3. So this rectangle has width (w = 60m), length (l = 110m), and height (h = ?). The height of the rectangle is actually a thickness of the cement layer. So, we will use the formula for the volume (V) of the rectangle to calculate the thickness:
V = w · l · h

It is given:
V = 660,000,000 cm³
w = 60 m = 60 · 100 cm = 6,000 cm
l = 110 m = 110 · 100 cm = 11,000 cm
h = ?

Using the formula: V = w · l · h
660,000,000 = 6,000 · 11,000 · h
660,000,000 = 66,000,000 · h
⇒ h = 660,000,000 ÷ 66,000,000 = 10 cm
