That statement is false

Thawing in this context refers to the process of making frozen product into normal temperature so it can be consumed.

There is no difference would occur to your body in consuming the foods soon after thawing or consuming it after a while. You just need to ensure that the food does not become too hot.

The given statement is false.

Further Explanation:

A microwave oven or microwave is a type of electric device that cooks and heats food by exposing the food to the electromagnetic radiation. Thawing food is the process of defrosting the food that is frozen. The food can be thaw by the use of a refrigerator, cold water, and a microwave oven. Thawing by the use of a refrigerator takes more time than cold water and microwave oven.

Thawing in cold water requires more attention because the food is placed in the plastic bag or leak-proof package and if the container leaks then the bacteria from the surrounding environment or the air can enter into the food.

When the food is thaw by the use of a microwave oven, it produces uneven heat patterns. Some sections of food cooks before the other sections totally thaw. The partially cooked food is not good because it might be possible that bacteria may be still present in it and start growing when they reach optimal temperature. The microwave should be used for thawing the food only when the food will be cooked immediately, or for ready-to-eat food immediately before serving them.

Therefore, the given statement is false.

koban [17]

Answer:

$325,000

Explanation:

Given that,

Total variable costs = $219,600

Total fixed costs = $126,750

Total revenues = $360,000

Required sales in dollars to break even:

= [Total fixed cost ÷ (Total revenues - Total variable costs)] × Total revenues

= [$126,750 ÷ ($360,000 - $219,600)] × $360,000

= ($126,750 ÷ $140,400) × $360,000

= 0.9028 × $360,000

= $325,000

The burger joint at SDSU sells an average of 6000 third-pound hamburgers each week. Hamburger patties are resupplied twice a wee
Alex73 [517]

Answer:

13.3 times per week

Explanation:

Inventory turnover helps to show how efficiently a company manages its inventory by comparing the cost of goods sold and the average inventory for a particular period. In other words, it measures how many times a company sold its total average inventory amount during a particular period. In this case, one week. This is an important assessment to ensure two things:

1. Inventory meets sales adequately and sales will not be affected by not having enough inventory.

2. Too much inventory is not held at one point, which would incur high storage and holding costs, and also wastage in terms of perishable inventory such as hamburger patties.

It is calculated as cost of goods sold / average inventory.

In this case, 6000 third - pound hamburgers are sold each week, with it costing $1.5 per pound.

6000 x 1/3 = 2000 pounds

2000 pounds x $1.5 = $3000 COGS per week.

Since average inventory is 450 pounds for two weeks, it would be 225 per week.

Hence, inventory turnover =

$3000 / 225 = 13.3 times per week

George works in the accounting department at the Green Goddess Lawn Services, where it is his job to record all transactions int
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

The correct answer is post the information to the ledger.

Explanation:

In accounting, the general ledger is a document where all the transactions of corporations are recorded in chronological order. Each account must have a different book, which must be affected each time the accounts are involved in this process. These records make it possible to know the movements in a more detailed way, since unlike the journal in this case, only a single group of accounts is known and not the whole.

You have $55,000 in a savings account that pays 2% interest per year. The inflation rate that year is 3.24%. To calculate simple
Len [333]

Answer:

How much do you make in interest in a year?

$ 1100

How much would you need to have made for your spending power to keep up with inflation in that year?

$ 1782

How much buying power did you lose in that year because of inflation?

$ 682

Explanation:

Your interest formula is given to you.

Interest in a year = principal (the amount invested) * rate (the interest rate) * period (the time you're measuring)

Interest = 55,000 * 2% * 1 year = 55,000 * 0.02 * 1 = $1,100

How much would you need to have made for your spending power to keep with inflation? Your interest rate would have needed to match the inflation rate, otherwise prices are going up faster than you're saving.

Required interest = 55,000 * 3.24% * 1 year = 55,000 * 0.0324 * 1 = $1,782

How much buying power did you lose? The difference between your required interest and your actual interest.

Buying power lost = 1,782 - 1,100 = $682. You lost this much in buying power.

Hope that helped :)

An owner can lease her building for $120,000 per year for three years. The explicit cost of maintaining the building is $40,000,
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

A) Accounting profits dont take implicit costs into account, only "real" or quantifiable costs. Thus the present value of a 120,000 lease at 5% for three years with explicit costs of $40,000 maintenance is:

PV = [ FV/(1+r)^n ] - (Explicit Cost)

PV = 120000/(1.05^3) - (40000*3) B) same thing but add implicit costs ...

PV = 120000/(1.05^3) - (40000*3) - (55000*3)
