Suppose Sal's total profit on lunch specials for the next month is $1,593. The profit amounts are the same: $2 for each sandwich

and $3 for each wrap. In a paragraph of at least three complete sentences, explain how the graphs of the functions for the two months are similar and how they are different.

This is an incomplete problem. Other data were not given.

Given:
Profit of every sandwich = $2
Profit of every wrap = $3
x = sandwich
y = wrap

Last month:  2x + 3y = 1,470
Next month: 2x + 3y = 1,593

Based on the given equation:

Both still have the same profit. $2 for sandwiches and $3 for wraps.
The only reason why there is a difference in the total amount is the change in the number of sandwich or wrap sold in a given month.

Since, next month's total sale is higher than last month's total sale, it is safe to assume that the sale of sandwich or wrap is higher than last month's sale.

noname [10]

Answer:

The null and alternative hypothesis for this test are

H_0: \mu\ge 215\\\\H_1: \mu< 215

Step-by-step explanation:

If we perform a hypothesis test, we can reject or not reject the null hypothesis.

To conclude that the tires have a decreased stopping distance (μ<215), we should state the null hypothesis H_0: \mu\ge 215 and then go on with the analysis to reject it (or not).

If the null hypothesis is rejected, the claim of the manufacturer is rigth.

The alternative hypothesis would be H_1: \mu, that would turn rigth if the null hypothesis is rejected.

Solve y=3bx-7x for x
irina [24]
Y = 3bx - 7x
y = x(3b - 7)

Divide each side by 3b - 7 (assume that it is not zero).
\frac{y}{3b-7} =x

A rectangular pool 18 meters by 12 meters is surrounded by a walkway of width x
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

x=3 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

Find the area of the rectangular pool

A=LW

we have

L=18\ m\\W=12\ m

substitute

A=18(12)=216\ m^2

step 2

Find the area of rectangular pool including the area of the walkway

Let

x ----> the width of the walkway

we have

L=(18+2x)\ m\\W=(12+2x)\ m

substitute

A=(18+2x)(12+2x)

step 3

Find the area of the walkway

To find out the area of the walkway subtract the area of the pool from the area of rectangular pool including the area of the walkway

so

A=(18+2x)(12+2x)-216

step 4

Find the value of x if the area of the walkway equal the area of the pool

so

(18+2x)(12+2x)-216=216

Solve for x

(18+2x)(12+2x)=432\\216+36x+24x+4x^{2}=432\\4x^{2} +60x-216=0

Solve the quadratic equation by graphing

The solution is x=3 meters
