p = j - 3

j + j - 3 + 4j - 12 = 39
6j - 15 = 39
6j = 39 + 15
6j = 54
j = 54/6

m = 4(9) - 12
m = 36 - 12
m = 24 <=== matt

p = j - 3
p = 9 - 3
