Note:
1 in = 2.54 cm

Part (a)
21 \, cm = (21 \, cm)*( \frac{1 \, in}{2.54 \, cm} ) = 8.268 \, in
Answer: 8.268 in

Part (b)
29.7 \, cm = (29.7 \, cm)*( \frac{1 \, in}{2.54 \, cm} ) = 11.693 \, in
Answer: 11.693 in

Part (c)
In SI units standard-sized paper is 21.0 cm by 29.7 cm, which is equivalent to 8.268 in by 11.693 in.
Answer: 8.268 in by 11.693 in.

Part (d)
U.S sized standard paper is 8.0 in by 11.0 in. Therefore the SI (internationally) sized paper is longer.

Part (e)
If the U.S> adopts the SI standard for letter-sized paper, both the width and length of standard paper will have to be increased. Therefore letter-sized paper will occupy a larger area and will be heavier if the thickness and density do not change.

solmaris [256]

Answer:

FEMA stands for Federal Emergency Management Agency

Explanation:

FEMA stands for Federal Emergency Management Agency and the main goal of the agency is to provide support to citizens in case of an emergency situation. FEMA also works on improving the capability and capacity of the first responders in responding, recovering and mitigating emergency situation and hazards. What promises did FDR make to the American people? Check all that apply. He would outlaw bank foreclosures. He would put farms u
Serggg [28]

The promises that were made by Franklin D. Roosevelt to the American people are as follows:

 • He would put farms under government control.
 • He would lower the number of unemployed workers.
 • He would create programs to support Americans.

Answers: Options 2, 5 and 6

Explanation:

The period before Franklin D. Roosevelt came to power was characterized by the political and social unrest caused by instability at both national and international levels.

New Deal Roosevelt promised that the American people would rise immediately after its inauguration in March, 1933. Assuming that federal authority is needed to overcome depression, the first days have begun: the Roosevelt government approves bank reform laws, crisis programs, work assistance programs, and agricultural programs.

A second new agreement will follow; these included trade union protection programs, social security law, and tenants and migrant workers programs. It was mandatory for FDR to instil the faith of the people back again in the United States government and thus, he made the promises stated above.
