This indicates that American businesspeople believe that American culture is superior or better to all others. It is one example of ethnocentrism.

EXPLANATION:

Ethnocentrism is the process of valuing other cultures wholly from the perspective of one's own culture. Ethnocentric people contrast their culture with others on elements such as religion, language, customs, behavior, and norms. The following are helpful examples of how ethnocentrism can penetrate sociological views, by increasing understanding of the topic (not a complete list):

• American Exceptionalism

The term American exceptionalism was first employed in 1831 by French political scientist Alexis de Tocqueville. Nowadays, it can be used to explain the United States in three distinctive ways:

1. The US is very different from countries found in developed western countries. This view is likely to have existed since the American Revolution, in the 1700s. It was then that the concept of a uniquely American identity that was fully separated from its European partners was firstborn.

2. The idea that the U.S. has an appeal to form the world to be more "American". It exists in the shape of things like Manifest Destiny.

3. The idea that, since their customary systems and beliefs, the U.S. has an advantage over every other country in the world. This is in itself near to the concept of ethnocentrism.

• Religiocentrism

Religiocentrism functions from the perspective that one's religion is truer, crucial, or valid than other people's religions.

• Sinocentrism

Sinocentrism means the belief that China is the world’s center. This has held complex cultural and economic implications from time to time, often causing reactions from nearby countries in history.

• Consumer ethnocentrism

Consumer ethnocentrism plays a role when people generate groups of people, determined by the goods’ consumption.

• Chronocentrism

Chronocentrism means the attitude that particular periods in history were superior to other periods.

• Afrocentrism

Afrocentrism is global in the lens of people who live on it, or who have close relations with, the African continent. Unlike other kinds of ethnocentrism, many people say that Afrocentrism is not a negative idea, because many African stories and voices have been silenced over the past centuries.

This shows American businessmen trust that American culture is better than all others. Ethnocentrism is an essential demeanor communicating the conviction that one's own ethnic gathering or one's own particular culture is better than other ethnic gatherings or societies, and that one's social principles can be connected in a widespread way.
