An accident is something out of your control and is not something you would expect to happen as a result of your actions. Risky behavior is doing thing that you know can be potentially harmful on purpose. Accident example: You're driving a car at a safe speed, paying attention to the road, and wearing the seatbelt, but a dear jumps out before you can stop and you crash.  Risky behavior example: Purposefully disregarding the rules of the road, not wearing the seatbelt, and speeding.
