Answer:

142≤ x.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : rectangle a perimeter of at least 300 ft and Length: 3ft  and width formula: x+5ft.

To find : Writing an inequality for x that would give this rectangle a perimeter.

Solution : We have given length = 3 ft.

Width = x + 5 ft .

Perimeter =  300 feet .

Perimeter = 2 ( length + width ) .

Plugging the values and greater than equal to sign for at least.

300 ≤ 2( 3 + x +5).

300≤ 2( 8 +x) .

300≤ 16 + 2x

On subtracting both sides by 16.

300 -16 ≤ 2x .

284 ≤ 2x.

On dividing both sides by 2.

142≤ x.

We can say x is at least 142.

Therefore, 142≤ x.

Find the least number which should be subtracted from 500 to make it a perfect square
Ad libitum [116K]

Answer: 16

Step-by-step explanation:

A perfect square is basically some number multiplied by itself. For example, 4 is a perfect square because 2x2=4.

22 x 22 = 484 (under 500)

23 x 23 = 529 (over 500)

Therefore, the perfect square must be 484.

Subtract 484 from 500:

500 - 484 = 16

16 is the answer :)

The tiles that Bruce used were each of a square foot in the area. The table shows the area covered by Felicia’s tiles in terms o
Allisa [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to write an equation which represents the area of Felicia covered y in terms of the number of tiles she used.

Let x= Number of tiles

y=Area  covered by  Felicia's tile

x_1=9, x_2=18, x_3=27

y_1=1, y_2=2,y_3=3

\frac{x_1}{y_1}=\frac{9}{1}=9

\frac{x_2}{y_2}=\frac{18}{2}=9

\frac{x_3}{y_3}=\frac{27}{3}=9

The ratio of x and y remains constant.Therefore, it is direct proportion .

Equation of direction proportion is given by

\frac{x}{y}=k

Where

k=The value of ratio of x and y

x and y are variables

We have k=9

Substitute the values in the equation

Then, we get

\frac{x}{y}=9

x=9y

y=\frac{1}{9}x

This is required equation which representing the area of Felicia covered y in terms of the number of tile she used x.

The graph of F(x), shown below, has the same shape as the graph of G(x) = x2, but it is shifted up 3 units. What is its equation
Aliun [14]
For this case, the parent function is given by:
 G (x) = x ^ 2

 Applying the following transformation we have:
 Vertical displacement
 Assume k> 0,
 To graph y = f (x) + k, move the graph k units up.
 We have then:
 F (x) = G (x) + 3

F (x) = x ^ 2 + 3
 Answer:

the equation of F (x) is given by:
 F (x) = x ^ 2 + 3

Solution:

Also, x z is a transversal, that intercepts x y and z w.

Also, v is point of intersection of x z and y w.
