M / v  =  5 % = 5 / 100

volume  = 500 mL

so, m = v x 5 / 100  =   500  x 5 / 100

m = 25 g

What is the molarity of a solution that contains 0.500 mole of kno3 dissolved in 0.500-liter of solution?
belka [17]

Answer : The molarity of solution is, 1.00 M

Explanation : Given,

Moles of KNO_3 = 0.500 mol

Volume of solution = 0.500 L

Molarity : It is defined as the number of moles of solute present in one liter of volume of solution.

Formula used :

\text{Molarity}=\frac{\text{Moles of }KNO_3}{\text{Volume of solution (in L)}}

Now put all the given values in this formula, we get:

\text{Molarity}=\frac{0.500mol}{0.500L}=1.00mole/L=1.00M

Therefore, the molarity of solution is, 1.00 M

A scientist compares two samples of white powder. one powder was present at the beginning of an experiment. the other powder was
NARA [144]

Answer. Chemical reaction had occurred and both the powders are different substances.

Explanation:

As density is an intensive property of the substance.Which means that  different substance have different densities.

Density = \frac{mass}{volume}

Density of powder 1, d_1=\frac{0.5g}{45cm^3}=0.11g/cm^3

Density of powder 2, d_2=\frac{1.3g}{65cm^3}=0.02g/cm^3

On comparing both the densities of the powders we can say that both the substances are different. So we can conclude that the chemical reaction had occurred.

What elements are in NaC2HO4 and how many atoms are in each element
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

Each molecule contains one atom of A and one atom of B. The reaction does not use all of the atoms to form compounds.

                 A + B ⟶ Product

Particles: 6      8              6

If six A atoms form six product molecules, each molecule can contain only one A atom.

The formula of the product is ABₙ.

If n = 1, we need six atoms of B.

If n = 2, we need 12 atoms of B. However, we have only eight atoms of B, so the formula of the product must be AB.

Thus, 6A + 6B ⟶ 6AB, with two B atoms left over.
