The cane toad is an "invasive species." Meaning it is not native to the area, in this case, not native to Hawaii. After being introduced into the Hawaiian Islands, the cane toads greatly affect local ecosystem. In the new area, they have a few natural predators and are able to spread. However, if they spread too much, that would be overpopulation, and the cane toads would be a great threat. Hope this helps!

The first thing to do is activate EMS. Use cool or cold water to cool the burn for 10 minutes as soon as possible. ( Do not use ice or frozen compress.) Early cooling will minimize the depth of injury and decrease pain. Remove jewelry near the affected area. Cover the injury with dry,  clean pad loosely to protect it. Do not give food or drink to injured person. Keep him comfortable until EMS arrives and takes over.

Individual algae cells don't live very long. So you have a log of algae being produced. Releasing oxygen to the air, and then dying. And the dead algae then proceeds to decay, which does consume dissolved oxygen in the water. Which does cause the death of fish and other animals that are dependent upon that dissolved oxygen. And that does reduce the biodiversity in the area. So this is a reasonable and correct answer.</span>
