First work out the unit price:
16-oz $1.76/16=$0.11 per oz
20-oz $2.40/20=$0.12 per oz

From this the 16-oz bottle is better value for money than the 20-oz because the unit price is lower.
I don’t have any statements in front of me to make an answer selection, but I hope this helps.

On a road map, the locations A, B and C are collinear. Location C divides the road from location A to B, such that AC:CB = 1:2.
koban [17]

Answer:

C. (-1,-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Since C internally divides AB in the ratio AC/CB = 1/2 = m/n where m = 1 and n = 2, we use the formula for internal division.

Let A = (x₁, y₁) = (5, 16), B = (x₂, y₂) and C = (x, y) = (3, 10)

So x = (mx₂ + nx₁)/(m + n)

y = (my₂ + ny₁)/(m + n)

Substituting the values of the coordinates, we have

x = (mx₂ + nx₁)/(m + n)

3 = (1 × x₂ + 2 × 5)/(2 + 1)

3 = (x₂ + 10)/3

multiplying through by 3, we have

9 = x₂ + 10

x₂ = 9 - 10

x₂ = -1

y = (my₂ + ny₁)/(m + n)

10 = (1 × y₂ + 2 × 16)/(2 + 1)

10 = (x₂ + 32)/3

multiplying through by 3, we have

30 = y₂ + 32

y₂ = 30 - 32

y₂ = -2

So, the coordinates of B are (-1, -2)

A store sells a certain tile for $2 per tile and a pint of paint for $3. A second store sells the same items for $1 per tile and
andreev551 [17]

Answer:

2 x plus 3 y equals 26. X plus 4 y equals 18

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of tiles, = x

Number of pints of paint, = y

Store 1:

Cost per tile = $2 ; cost per pint = $3 ; total cost = $26

Store 2 :

Cost per tile = $1 ; cost per pint = $4 ; total cost = $18

System of equation:

2x + 3y = 26 - - - (1)

x + 4y = 18 - - - - - (2)

A doctor observes a graph that shows the electrical activity (in volts) of the heart of a patient over a period of time (in seco
hodyreva [135]

Answer:

90 beats per minute

Step-by-step explanation:

By looking at the graph, we see that exactly at second 6, the 9th beat occurs. We can take that to beats/min by multiplying that relation by 10 (since there are ten 6sec in one minute).

9beats every 6sec * 10 = 90beats/min

5.44 Teaching descriptive statistics: A study compared five different methods for teaching descriptive statistics. The five meth
maria [59]

Answer:

The null hypothesis is that all the different teaching methods have the same average test scores.

H0: μ1 = μ2 = μ3 = μ4 = μ5

The alternative hypothesis is that at least one of the teaching methods have a different mean.

Ha: at least one mean is different. (μ1 ≠ μi)

Step-by-step explanation:

The null hypothesis (H0) tries to show that no significant variation exists between variables or that a single variable is no different than its mean. While an alternative Hypothesis (Ha) attempt to prove that a new theory is true rather than the old one. That a variable is significantly different from the mean.

For the case above, let μ represent the average test scores for the teaching methods:

The null hypothesis is that all the different teaching methods have the same average test scores.

H0: μ1 = μ2 = μ3 = μ4 = μ5

The alternative hypothesis is that at least one of the teaching methods have a different mean.

Ha: at least one mean is different. (μ1 ≠ μi)

This figure shows the nose cone of a rocket used for launching satellites. The nose cone houses the satellite until the satellit
Elena-2011 [213]

see the attached figure to better understand the problem

we know that

The volume of the cone is equal to

V=\frac{1}{3} \pi r^{2} h

in this problem

r=\frac{6}{2} =3\ ft\\ \\ h=15\ ft

Substitute the values in the formula above

V=\frac{1}{3}* \pi* 3^{2}* 15\\ \\ V=45\pi \ ft^{3}

therefore

the answer is

The volume of the nose cone is 45\pi \ ft^{3}
