The nervous system is divided into the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. The central nervous system consist of the brain and the spinal cord while the peripheral nervous system consists the nerves which connect the CNS to other parts of the body. Autonomic nervous system is part of the PNS that supplies the effectors (muscles and the glands)n which influence the function of internal organs. Its is the sympathetic part of the ANS that triggers many of the physical responses we have when we experience an emotion.
