Doubled of 132 which means 2 times 132 = 132\times 2

Subtract 12 doubled from 132

While write the expression whatever the expression after the word from that we have to write first

So Doubled of 132 - 12

( 132\times 2  ) - 12 -----> This is the final expression

If we simplify the above expression we will get

264 - 12

= 252

A solid oblique pyramid has an equilateral triangle as a base with an edge length of 4StartRoot 3 EndRoot cm and an area of 12St
Marizza181 [45]

The volume of the pyramid is 16\sqrt{3} cm³ ⇒ 2nd answer

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a pyramid = \frac{1}{3} base area × its height

The given is:

1. The base of the pyramid is an equilateral triangle of side length

   4\sqrt{3} cm

2. The area of the base is 12\sqrt{3} cm²

3. In Δ ACB measure of angle ACB is 90° and m∠ CAB is 30°

To find the volume of the pyramid we need its height

∵ The height of the pyramid is BC

- Because it is perpendicular to the side AC which is one side of the

  base of the pyramid

∵ m∠CAB = 30°

∵ AC = 4\sqrt{3} cm

- By using tan(30) = \frac{BC}{AC} we can find BC

∴ tan(30) = \frac{BC}{4\sqrt{3}}

- By using cross multiplication

∴ BC = 4\sqrt{3}*tan(30)

∴ BC = 4 cm

∵ V = \frac{1}{3} area of the base × BC

∵ BC = 4 cm

∵ The area of the base is 12\sqrt{3}

∴ V = \frac{1}{3} × 12\sqrt{3} × 4

∴ V = 16\sqrt{3} cm³

The volume of the pyramid is 16\sqrt{3} cm³

Find an equation of the tangent line to the hyperbola y = 3/x at the point (3, 1).
Vesna [10]
Let's find the derivative of that hyperbola in order to find a slope formula to help us with this equation.  We already have an x and y value.  The derivative is found this way:  y'= \frac{x(0)-3(1)}{x^2} so  y'=- \frac{3}{x^2}.  The derivative supplies us with the slope formula we need to write the equation.  Sub in the x value of 3 to find what the slope is: y'=- \frac{3}{3^2}=- \frac{3}{9}=- \frac{1}{3}.  So in our slope-intercept equation, x = 3, y = 1, and m = -1/3.  Use these values to solve for b.  1=- \frac{1}{3}(3)+b  so b = 2.  The equation, then, for the line tangent to that hyperbola at that given point is y=- \frac{1}{3}x+2

A large emerald with a mass of 812.04 grams was recently discovered in a mine. If the density of the emerald is 2.76grams over c
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

Volume of emerald = 294.22cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that

Mass of emerald = 812.04grams

Density of emerald = 2.76grams/cm³

Volume = ?

The equation for this relationship is ρ = m / V in which ρ is density, m is mass (kg or g) and V is volume (cm³ or m³) making the density unit kg/m³ or g/cm³.

Therefore from

Density = mass/volume

Volume = Mass/density

i.e

Volume of emerald = Mass of emerald / Density of emerald

Volume of emerald = 812.04grams / 2.76grams/cm³

Volume of emerald = 294.2174cm³ ~294.22cm³

Volume of emerald = 294.22cm³

AB = 8/ cos 60

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to find the hypotenuse AB

Since we have a right triangle
