grade sets up a dunking booth for 4 hours and makes $112. The eighth grade has a car wash and makes $192 in 6 hours. Which class has the highest rate for raising money?

The 8th grade does. All you do is divide each number by the amount of hours worked. So 6th grade 170/55 7th 112/4 and 8th 192/6
In the end its 6th= 3 dollars an hour 7th= 28 dolars an hour and 8th gets 32dollars an hour so they have the highest rate

Sixth grade/ 170÷55=$3.10
Seventh grade/112÷4=$28
Eight grade/192÷6=$32
Therefore 8th grade has the highest rate for making money.You divide the money earned by the number of hours worked.

lukranit [14]

Answer:

Here we have given two catogaries as degree holder and non degree holder.

So here we have to test the hypothesis that,

H0 : p1 = p2 Vs H1 : p1 not= p2

where p1 is population proportion of degree holder.

p2 is population proportion of non degree holder.

Assume alpha = level of significance = 5% = 0.05

The test is two tailed.

Here test statistic follows standard normal distribution.

The test statistic is,

Z = (p1^ - p2^) / SE

where SE = sqrt[(p^*q^)/n1 + (p^*q^)/n2]

p1^ = x1/n1

p2^ = x2/n2

p^ = (x1+x2) / (n1+n2)

This we can done in TI_83 calculator.

steps :

STAT --> TESTS --> 6:2-PropZTest --> ENTER --> Input all the values --> select alternative "not= P2" --> ENTER --> Calculate --> ENTER

Test statistic Z = 1.60

P-value = 0.1090

P-value > alpha

Fail to reject H0 or accept H0 at 5% level of significance.

Conclusion : There is not sufficient evidence to say that  the percent of correct answers is significantly different between degree holders and non-degree holders.

This table shows the area in inches of four rectangular scraps of fabric.
mote1985 [20]

Answer:

<h2>82 in²</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The median of the four numbers a, b, c and d. Where a ≤ b ≤ c ≤ d:

\dfrac{b+c}{2}

We have

84in², 72in², 80in², 84in² → 72in², 80in², 84in², 84in²

The median:

\dfrac{80+84}{2}=\dfrac{164}{2}=82\ in^2

Statements about regression
galben [10]

Answer:

Follows are the solution to this question:

Step-by-step explanation:

  • It is true because the square of the standard error of its estimate was its total square error divided only by the degree of freedom.
  • It is true because Its coefficient with Standardized Regression, beta, will have the same value as r, the approximate similarity.
  • It is false because Its slope b, of its equation of regression, will have the same value as r, the projected correlation.

Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

<u>$3.90</u> was the cost of salami per kilogram.

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>The question is incomplete, so the complete question is below:</em></u>

Hailey\ paid\ \$13\ for\ 1\ 3/7\ kg\ of\ sliced\ salami.\ \\What\ was\ the\ cost\ per\ kilogram\ of\ salami?

Now, to find the cost of salami per kilogram.

Cost of 1\frac{3}{7} kilogram of sliced salami = $13.

Now, to get the cost of salami per kilogram we use unitary method:

If, the cost of \frac{10}{3} kilogram of salami = $13.

Then, the cost of 1 kilogram of salami = \frac{13}{\frac{10}{3}}

=\frac{13}{10}\times 3

=\frac{39}{10}

=\$3.90.

Therefore, $3.90 was the cost of salami per kilogram.
