Locker 1 has more storage space because it has a greater volume.
The volume of locker 1 is 8,640 (48x15x12)
The volume of locker 2 is 7,200 (60x10x12)

I hope this helps.

Which values of x and y would make the following expression represent a real number? (4+5i)(x+yi)
algol [13]

Answer:

So x=4 and y=-5 would work.

Step-by-step explanation:

When you multiply complex conjugates, you get a real result.

Example:

(a+bi)(a-bi)=a^2-b^2i^2=a^2+b^2

I replace i^2 with -1 since i^2=-1.

a^2+b^2 is a real number (there is no imaginary part, no i).

So what is the conjugate of 4+5i?

4-5i

So x=4 and y=-5 would work.

A multiple of the complex conjugate would work as well.

(a+bi)(ca-cbi)

c(a+bi)(a-bi)

c(a^2-b^2i^2)

c(a^2+b^2)

This is still a real number; there is no imaginary part,no i.

2) James spent $65 for n books. Write an expression that can be used to find the cost of
Zina [86]

Answer:

65 ÷ n

Step-by-step explanation:

If you already knew the cost of one book, you would do:

cost of 1 book x n = 65

However, you do not know the cost, so you have to do the opposite of multiplying the cost, which is dividing.

Write the equation of the line with the following characteristics through the origin and the point (2,2)
anyanavicka [17]
Y = X

Because the origin is 0,0 and the point is 2,2.

In order to get from 0,0 to 2,2 with a line, it must have equal increments of the Y as the X.

In y=mx+b form, you’d have y = 1x+0 which just simplified to what I already stated: y=x
