Short answer: P(B) = 0.995
Remark
Start the problem by assuming he never eats breakfast during the work week.

Step One.
Figure out the probability that on day one (Monday) he does not eat breakfast

1 - 65/100  is the probability that he will not eat breakfast on Monday.
P(NB) = 100/100 - 65/100 = 35/100  NB stands for no breakfast.

Step Two
Reduce 35/100
35/100 = 7/20

Step 3
For each day following the previous result  is multiplied by 7/20
P(NBW) = (7/20)^5  NBW = No Breakfast all week.
P(NBW) = 0.005252

Step 4
Find the probability he will have at least one Breakfast.
P(B) = 1 - 0.005252
P(B) = 0.995 to the nearest 1000th. <<<< answer.

bezimeni [28]

Answer:

  31.747 GW

Step-by-step explanation:

The total cell capacity (C) manufactured in the time period is the integral of the rate of manufacture. So, we have ...

  C=\displaystyle\int\limits^3_0 {3.7e^{0.61t}} \, dt=\frac{3.7}{0.61}(e^{0.61\cdot 3}-1)\approx 31.747 \quad\text{GW}

About 31.747 GW of generating capacity was manufactured in that time interval.

Temka [501]
We know that
the radius is 65 ft
circumference of a circle=2*pi*r
for r=65 ft
circumference of a circle=2*pi*65-----> 130*pi ft

if 2*pi  (full circle)  has a length of----------------> 130*pi ft
 x------------------------------------------> 92 ft
x=92*2*pi/(130*pi)----------> x=1.4154 radians-------> x=1.42 radians

the answer is
1.42 radians

The square of a number decreased by 3 times the number 28 find all possible values for the number
stealth61 [152]

Question:

The square of a number decreased by 3 times the number is 28 find all possible values for the number

Answer:

The possible values of number are 7 and -4

Solution:

Given that the square of a number decreased by 3 times the number is 28

To find: all possible values of number

Let "a" be the unknown number

From given information,

square of a number decreased by 3 times the number = 28

a^2 - 3a = 28

a^2 - 3a - 28 = 0

Let us solve the above quadratic equation

\text {For a quadratic equation } a x^{2}+b x+c=0, \text { where } a \neq 0

x=\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^{2}-4 a c}}{2 a}

Using the above formula,

\text { For } a^{2}-3 a-28=0 \text { we have } a=1, b=-3, c=-28

\begin{aligned}&a=\frac{-(-3) \pm \sqrt{(-3)^{2}-4(1)(-28)}}{2 \times 1}\\\\&a=\frac{3 \pm \sqrt{9+112}}{2}\\\\&a=\frac{3 \pm \sqrt{121}}{2}=\frac{3 \pm 11}{2}\\\\&a=\frac{3+11}{2} \text { or } a=\frac{3-11}{2}\\\\&a=7 \text { or } a=-4\end{aligned}

Thus the possible values of number are 7 and -4
