The first thing we must do for this case is to determine the cost.
 For this, we make the following rule of three:
 3840 -------------> 128%
 x ------------------> 100%
 Clearing x we have:
 x = (100/128) * (3840)
 x = 3000
 We now look for the percentage earned when making the sale.
 For this we make the following rule of three:
 3000 -------------> 100%
 3750 ------------------> x
 Clearing x we have:
 x = (3750/3000) * (100)
 x = 125
 Then, the percentage earned is:
 125-100 = 25%
 Answer:
 I won 25% of the cost when making the sale.

How do you use a number line to solve 235+123
Novosadov [1.4K]
<span>Number line refers to a mathematical process of solving the equation with the use of lines.
=> 235 + 123
Starting from 0 you count 1 up to 235. Then starting from 235 you additionally count another 123.
Then from zero start counting the total number to the line you stopped when adding 123 to 235.

This simply equals to
=> 235 + 123
=> 358.

Draw the unit circle with center (0,0)and plot the point P=(6,2). Observe there are TWO lines tangent to the circle passing thro
scZoUnD [109]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a tangent is drawn from P (6,2) to unit circle with center at the origin.

The tangent passing through (6,2) would have equaiton of the form

y-6 = m(x-2)\\y =mx-2m+6 for suitable m.

Because this line is tangent, distance of centre of circle namely origin is the radius 1.

i.e. |\frac{-2m+6}{\sqrt{1+m^2} } |=1\\(-2m+6 )^2 = 1+m^2\\3m^2-24m+35=0\\\\m=1.918, 6.082

the coordinates are the intersection of the tangent with the circle

They are (-0.162, 0.987) and (0.462,-0.887)
