Bacteria Growth Rate Formula:

N(t) = N(0) * ( 1 + r)^t

where, N(0) is the number of bacteria present at the beginning of the experiment, r is the growth rate, t is the time taken/ elapsed.

Substituting the numbers for N(t), N(0) and t from the given description, we get the value of r.

220 = 20*(1+r)^(24 hours)

Solving for r, we get r = 0.105074.

1 week has (7 x 24 = 168) hours in it.

Therefore, N(168 hours) = 20*(1+0.105074)^168

Which is approximately 390 millions.

Hence there will be 390 millions bacteria at the end of 1 week.

Dominik [7]

Answer:

Resilient landscape is defined as the property of landscape to mainatin itslef with desired ecological functions, biodiversity, and robust native. The property of grasses and plants that will help the Demaris family choose a resilient landscape are:

  • Healthy root systems: It will saturate the ground water and will keep the wind from overbalancing the vegetation.
  • Group of shrubs can reduce the wind hitting home in a storm.
  • Trees with flexible trunks and limbs: flexible trunk of grasses are wind resistant and provide resilient landscape.

What is the work generated by a healthy adult who circulates 9 l of blood through the brachial artery in 10 min 2 kj?
Pani-rosa [81]
You have also the total power generated is 200W

To figure out the kind of exercises, you need to master the definition of each unit. for example
power: watt (W) is joule/sec
Work: is Newton. meter = Joule

To obtain the work done by the adult, we have to convert the power (watt) into a work by multiplying by the time  (\frac{Joule}{seconds}  * seconds = Joule)
10 minutes is 60 * 10 = 600 seconds

200Watt * 600 second = 120000 joules = 120 Kj

So the work is 120Kj

Y-: yellow S-: star yy: black ss: starless
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

1. heterozygous yellow and star

2. 37

3. 1/8

4. 168

5. 1/4

Explanation:

Given ,

In f1 generation a cross is made between a true breeding black star bellied sneetch mated with a true breeding yellow starless sneetch

yySS x YYss

It is taken as - Y (yellow) is dominant over y (black)

and S (star) is dominant over s (starless)

1. F1 Generation

Genotype of parents yySS X YYss

gametes - yS, yS, Ys, Ys

All 16 offspring will have genotype YySs

phenotype would be heterozygous yellow and star

2. F2 generation cross

YySs X YySs

YS        Ys         yS        ys

YS YYSS YYSs YySS YySy

Ys YYSs YYss YySs Yyss

yS YySS YySs yySS yySs

ys YySs Yyss yySs yyss

Genotype of offspring are –

YYSS – 1

YYSs – 2

YySS – 2

YySs – 4

YYss- 1

Yyss- 2

yySS – 1

yySs- 1

yyss- 1

2. Out of 16, 2 are black star bellied sneetches . Which means only 1/8 are black star bellied sneetches

So out of 300, 37 are black star bellied sneetches

3. Only 2 out of 16 are true breeding. i.e 1/8

4. 9 out of 16 are yellow star bellied sneetches, so out of 300, 168 are yellow star bellied sneetches

5. 4 out of 16 are true breeding yellow. Thus, ¼ are true breeding
