Density is the ratio of mass to the volume. The formula of density is:

density = \frac{mass}{volume}    -(1)

Density of carbon tetrachloride = 1.59 g/ml (given)

Mass of carbon tetrachloride = 4.21 kg (given)

Since, 1 kg = 1000 g

So, 4.21 kg = 4210 g

Substituting the values in formula (1):

1.59 g/mL = \frac{4210 g}{volume}

volume = \frac{4210 g}{1.59 g/mL}

volume = 2647.799 mL

Since, 1 mL = 0.001 L

So, 2647.799 mL = 2.65 L

Hence, the volume of carbon tetrachloride is 2.65 L.

When a known quantity of compound, at a known concentration, is added to a known volume of another compound to determine the con
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

A titration

Explanation:

A common example of a titration is when we have an acid of unknown concentration, so we add a known volume of a base of known concentration. This process lets us determine the concentration of the acid.

By definition, a titration is a quantitative analysis, as we determine how much of an analyte is there in a sample. However, there are quantitative analyzes which are not titrations. This is why the most appropiate answer is a titration.

A 52.0 mL volume of 0.25 M HBr is titrated with 0.50 M KOH. Calculate the pH after addition of 26.0 mL of KOH at 25 ∘C.
prohojiy [21]
The balanced equation for the above reaction is
HBr + KOH ---> KBr + H₂O
stoichiometry of HBr to KOH is 1:1
HBr is a strong acid and KOH is a strong base and they both completely dissociate.
The number of HBr moles present - 0.25 M / 1000 mL/L x 52.0 mL = 0.013 mol
The number of KOH moles added - 0.50 M / 1000 mL/L x 26.0 mL  = 0.013 mol
the number of H⁺ ions = number of OH⁻ ions
therefore complete neutralisation occurs.
Therefore solution is neutral. At 25 °C, when the solution is neutral, pH = 7.
Then pH of solution is 7

In the first step of glycolysis, the given two reactions are coupled. reaction 1:reaction 2:glucose+Pi⟶glucose-6-phosphate+H2OAT
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer: Reaction 1 is non spontaneous.

Explanation:

According to Gibb's equation:

\Delta G=\Delta H-T\Delta S

\Delta G = Gibbs free energy

\Delta H = enthalpy change

\Delta S = entropy change

T = temperature in Kelvin

When \Delta G = +ve, reaction is non spontaneous

\Delta G= -ve, reaction is spontaneous

\Delta G= 0, reaction is in equilibrium

For the given reaction 1: glucose+Pi\rightarrow glucose-6-phosphate+H_2O \Delta G=+13.8kJ/mol

As for the reaction 1 , the value of Gibbs free energy is positive and thus the reaction 1 is non spontaneous.

Express the quantity 556.2 x 10^-12 in each units
A.) ms
B.) ns
C.) ps
D.) fs
zavuch27 [327]
The answer:
we should know the meaning of each abbreviation:
ms means millisecond, its value is 10^-3 s
ns means means nanosecond, its value is 10^-9 s
ps means picosecond, its value is 10^-12 s
fs means femtosecond, its value is 1x 10^15 s

Expressions of the quantity 556.2 x 10^-12 are
556.2 x 10^-12 =556.2 ps
556.2 x 10^-12 =556.2 x 10^-9 x 10^-3= 556.2 x 10^-9 ms
556.2 x 10^-12 = 556.2 x 10^-3 x 10^-9 = 556.2 x 10^-3 ns
556.2 x 10^-12 = 556.2 x 10^- 27 x 10^15 = 556.2 x 10^- 27 fs
