Answer:

endergonic, positive

Explanation:

<u>An endergonic reaction is the one which in which energy is consumed. </u>Synthesis of ATP occurs in the inner mitochondrial membrane but it does not happen on its own i.e. this reaction is not spontaneous and therefore this reaction has a positive δg. δg is negative only for those reactions which are spontaneous. <u>The production of ATP from adp and pi (inorganic phosphorus) which is an unfavorable reaction can be made favorable by coupling it with electron transport chain (ETS) which is a favorable reaction.</u> During ETS, H⁺ are pumped from higher concentration to lower concentration with the help of reverse pumps. Since moving molecules/ionic species from higher concentration to lower concentration is a spontaneous process, energy rather than getting consumed gets produced during ETS. This is the reason why δg for pumping  H⁺ is negative.

<u>Synthesis of ATP has positive δg but when it is coupled with ETS which has negative δg, the overall δg for ATP synthesis becomes negative. </u>

The entire process of manufacturing energy is known as oxidative phosphorylation, which takes place in the mitochondria, where ATP synthase enzyme is situated in the inner mitochondrial membrane and the F1-component protrudes into the mitochondrial matrix.

In the process, ADP combines with a phosphate to produce ATP. The energy liberated due to the hydrolysis of ATP into ADP is utilized to do cellular function, generally by coupling the exergonic reaction of the hydrolysis of ATP with the endergonic reactions.

The synthesis of ATP from ADP and Pi is an endergonic reaction with positive delta G.

Drag each tile to the correct box. Explain the process in which hormones secreted by the pancreas function with respect to incre
olga55 [171]

Answer:

The correct order is:

  1. High amount of glucose in the blood, sending signals toward the pancreas.
  2. Synthesis of hormones by beta cells.
  3. Binding of hormones with receptors on the liver.
  4. Intake of glucose molecules from the blood by specific transporters.
  5. Release of hormones from the receptors

Explanation:

  • The pancreas produces two hormones important for the regulation of blood glucose levels.
  • The two hormones, glucagon and insulin, increase and decrease the blood sugar respectively.
  • Insulin lowers the blood glucose by stimulating the body cells to increase the intake of glucose.
  • The brain senses high/low blood glucose, then, sends signals to the pancreas to initiate the synthesis of insulin or glucagon by the beta cells.
  • These hormones bind to receptors on body cells; on hepatic cells, in case of insulin.
  • The receptors initiate cellular signaling that facilitates intake or exit of glucose in or out of body cells.

Mnenie [13.5K]

The most common way these trees undergo pollination is through seeds and pollen.

The pollination is done with help of wind and birds where pollen transform from one plant to another.

<u>Explanation:</u>

The plants that undergoes pollination process through the seeds that are present in it are called as Angiosperms. These contains fruits. The seeds are usually present inside these fruits. Flowering plants are also called as Angiosperms.

These fruits and flowers are absent in gymnosperm. Even then they contain seeds inside the leaves surface. They will undergo pollination with these naked seeds. It is the fruits, flowers and the endosperm that are present in the seeds that help us to find difference between these two.  The only common thing that exists between these two are seeds and pollen with which they pollinate.

In gymnosperms, pollen is transferred from male cone to female cone through wind or birds. Now, the pollen is germinated into pollen tubes and sperm for egg fertilization.

Synthesized RNA

Explanation:

  • Oligonucleotide synthesis is the characterized chemical structure (sequence) and short pieces of nucleic acids
  • The Manufactured <em>oligonucleotides are single-stranded DNA or RNA atoms around 15–25 bases long  </em>
  • <em>The middle loop carries a nucleotide triplet called the anticodon</em>
  • Binding with a particular codon in the mRNA by explicit<em> RNA-to-RNA </em>base matching. Since codons in mRNA are perused in the 5′ → 3′direction, anticodons are situated in the 3′ → 5′ direction
