Answer:

d. 5.50, 5.75, 6.00, 6.25, 6.50, ...

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Ahmed's boss pays him $5.50 per hour

He promises a raise of $0.25 per hour every 6 months.

To Find : Sequence describes Ahmed's expected hourly wages, in dollars, starting with his current wage.

Solution :

Since his boss pays $5.50 per hour

So, first hour he got $5.50

Now as his boss promised a raise of $0.25 per hour every 6 months.

So, in second hour his boss will pay :

First hour pay + $0.25 = $5.50+$0.25 = $5.75

So, in third hour his boss will pay :

Second hour pay + $0.25 = $5.75+$0.25 = $6.00

So, in fourth hour his boss will pay :

Third hour pay + $0.25 = $6.00+$0.25 = $6.25

So, in fifth hour his boss will pay :

Fourth hour pay + $0.25 = $6.25+$0.25 = $6.50

And so on......

Hence Option d is correct i.e. 5.50, 5.75, 6.00, 6.25, 6.50, ...

A group of 85 people were asked whether or not they prefer a bagel or a muffin for breakfast and whether or not they prefer milk
gladu [14]

Answer:

The answer(s) would be WY/WZ, or WYZ (If this is multiple choice)

Step-by-step explanation:

The reasoning is that in the "IRL Equation" the polls showed that orange juice was prefered over milk, and didn't matter whether they wanted a bagel or muffin. All that matters in this equation is that it is one sided (For the 1st poll that is) and now you are able to narrow down the possibilities of the answer(s).

The table lists recommended amounts of food to order for 25 party guests. Amanda and Syndey are hosting a graduation party for 4
yan [13]

Answer:

Answer: 25 guests is 2.5 times more than 10

Multiply each order by 2.5

Chicken = 16 x 2.5 = 40

Lasagna = 7 x 2.5 = 17.5 , round to 18

Deli meat = 1.8 x 2.5 = 4.5, round to 5

Sliced cheese = 15 x 2.5 = 37.5, round to 38

Buns = 1 x 2.5 = 2.5, round to 3

Potato salad = 2 x 2.5 = 5

The following histogram presents the amounts of silver (in parts per million) found in a sample of rocks. One rectangle from the
gladu [14]

Answer:

 • The height of the missing rectangle is 0.15

Explanation:

The image attached has the mentioned histogram.

Such histogram presents the relative frequencies for the clases [0,1], [1,2],[2,3], [4,5], and [5,6] Silver in ppm.

Only the rectangle for the class [3,4] is missing.

The height of each rectangle is the relative frequency of the corresponding class.

The relative frequencies must add 1, because each relative frequency is calculated dividing the absolute class frequency by the total number in the sample; hence, the sum of all the relative frequencies is equal to the total absolute class frequencies divided by the same number, yielding 1.

In consequence, you can sum all the known relative frequencies and subtract from 1 to get the missing relative frequency, which is the height of the missing rectangle.

1. Sum of the known relative frequencies:

 • 0.2 + 0.3 + 0.15 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 0.85

2. Missing frequency:

 • 1 - 0.85 = 0.15

3. Conclusion:

 • The height of the missing rectangle is 0.15
