Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Mrs. Wheeler prepares a list.  The list consists of 43 US presidents out of which 31 served in the military. Remaining 12 no military service.

Now 8 students each select a president at random.

Let X be the no of persons selected who  did not serve in military.

X is a random variable with two outcomes non military or military.

Each student is independent of selecting hence X is binomial

X:B(n = 8, p = 12/43)

q = 1-p = 31/43

Probability that at least one of the students will select a president who did not serve in the military = 1-Probability that noone of the students will select a president who did not serve in the military

=P(X≥1)=

= 1-P(X=0)

=1-(\frac{31}{43})^8\\ = 0.9270

Tom supports North Storm Football Club. At the match between North Storm and West Stanford there were 71,167 spectators. If 41,1
dangina [55]
Answer:
30,058 spectator

Explanation:
The total number of spectators is equal to the sum of West Stanford's and North Storm's supporters.
We are given that:
Total number of spectators = <span>71,167 spectator
North Storm spectators = </span><span>41,109 spectator
So, to get the number of West Stanford spectators, all we have to do is subtract North Storm spectators from the total spectators as follows:
West Stanford spectators = </span>71,167 - 41,109 = 30,058 spectator

Hope this helps :)

The following are the hypotheses for a test of the claim that college graduation statue and cola preference are independent. H0:
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

\chi^2 = 0.579

And the critical value for the significance level used is:

\chi^2_{crit}= 5.991

Since the calculated value is less than the critical value we have enough evidence to FAIL to reject the null hypothesis and we can conclude that the College graduation status and cola preference are independent

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we want to test the following hypothesis:

Null hypothesis: College graduation status and cola preference are independent

Alternative hypothesis: College graduation status and cola preference are dependent

For this case we got a calculated statistic of:

\chi^2 = 0.579

And the critical value for the significance level used is:

\chi^2_{crit}= 5.991

Since the calculated value is less than the critical value we have enough evidence to FAIL to reject the null hypothesis and we can conclude that the College graduation status and cola preference are independent

in the figure p is the incenter of isosceles rst what type of triangle is rpt? Thank you in advance .
snow_lady [41]

Answer:

\Delta \text{RPT is an isosceles triangle}

Step-by-step explanation:

As in the triangle RST,

RS=ST\ \ \ \Rightarrow m\angle SRT=m\angle STR

Because if in a triangle two angles equal one another, then the sides opposite the equal angles also equal one another.

Incenter is obtained by the Intersection of a triangle's three angle bisectors and it is equidistant from the three sides of the triangle.

So, RP and TP are the angle bisectors of ∠R and ∠T respectively.

\Rightarrow \dfrac{m\angle SRT}{2}=\dfrac{m\angle STR}{2}

\Rightarrow m\angle PRT=m\angle PTR

\Rightarrow PR=PT

\Rightarrow \Delta \text{RPT is an isosceles triangle}
