Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection, according to which the most capable individuals survive in the struggle for survival, over the weaker, and thus transfer their genes to future generations, thus making a selection of stronger and more capable genes. When this theory in combination with the social theory of Herbert Spencer, applies to society as a whole, Social Evolution or Social Darwinism is obtained. This theory was very popular both in Europe and America in the nineteenth century to justify imperialism and racism. The ability of the stronger and more capable in the struggle for profit, where they choose different ways, even use racism. towards the weak and the poor, but not only that, to achieve their goals of enrichment. Some extreme followers of Social Darwinian argued that the government should not interfere with the survival of the "most capable" by helping the poor and hungry by various social measures, and promoted the idea that some races are biologically superior to others.

Why did some people in China consider Mao Zedong a despot?
vladimir1956 [14]

The correct answer is - A) the Chines Communist Party harassed and tortured people who were against Mao's ideas.

Mao Zedong, the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, was considered by many people in China as a despot, and they most certainly had lots of justified reasons for that.

Mao was a tyrant, and he was extreme towards anyone that he considered as a threat to himself or the communist ideology. He did not thought twice before sending people to harass, torture, imprison, and murder people that were not seen fondly by him.

It also might have something to do with the fact that from his politics, around 20 million people died during his reign, which make him as one of the worst leaders in the human history.
