An impulse purchase can be defined as an unplanned decision that the consumer makes to buy something, this decision is made just before the purchase. Edwina had gone to the supermarket planning only on buying pasta and juice, these purchases were planned, however, as she was about to pay she added two more items that were not part of her initial plan, these were the impulse purchases.
