P( two white) = 18/40 * 17/39 = 51/260
P( black then red) = 12/40 * 10/39 = 1/13
P( two black) = 12/40 * 11/39 = 11/130
P( white then black) = 18/40 * 12/39 = 9/65

Answer:

1) Probability of drawing a white, then a black marble? = 0.13

2) Probability   of drawing two black marbles =0.08

3) Probability   of drawing two white marbles = 0.19

4) Probability   of drawing a black, then a red marble = 0.07

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A jar contains a mixture of 12 black marbles, 10 red marbles, and 18 white marbles, all the same size. If two marbles are drawn from the jar without being replaced.

Solution :

Total number of marbles in a jar = 12+10+18=40

\text{Probability}=\frac{\text{Favorable outcome}}{\text{Total number of outcome}}

1) To find  what would the probability of drawing a white, then a black marble?

probability of getting a white marble = \frac{18}{40}=\frac{9}{20}

Without replacement, total number is 40-1=39

probability of getting a black marble = \frac{12}{39}=\frac{4}{13}

Probability of drawing a white, then a black marble is

P=\frac{9}{20}\times \frac{4}{13}= \frac{36}{260}=0.13

2) To find  what would the probability of drawing two black marbles?

probability of getting one black marble = \frac{12}{40}=\frac{3}{10}

Without replacement, total number is 40-1=39

probability of getting second black marble = \frac{11}{39}

Probability of drawing two black marbles is

P=\frac{3}{10}\times \frac{11}{39}= \frac{33}{390}=0.08

3) To find what would the probability of drawing two white marbles?

probability of getting one white marble = \frac{18}{40}=\frac{9}{20}

Without replacement, total number is 40-1=39

probability of getting second white marble = \frac{17}{39}

Probability of drawing two white marbles is

P=\frac{9}{20}\times \frac{17}{39}= \frac{153}{780}=0.19

4) To find what would the probability of drawing a black, then a red marble?

probability of getting a black marble = \frac{12}{40}=\frac{3}{10}

Without replacement, total number is 40-1=39

probability of getting a red marble = \frac{10}{39}

Probability of drawing a white, then a black marble is

P=\frac{3}{10}\times \frac{10}{39}= \frac{30}{390}=0.07

Jonathan borrowed $475 at a simple annual interest rate of 2%. How many years will it take him to repay the loan if he wants to
vovikov84 [41]
Firstly you would times 475 by the percentage, which you can convert to a decimal my multiplying the percentage by 100.

475 * 0.02 = 9.50

Then divide the interest by the amount of interest per year:
38 / 9.5 = 4.

The answer would be 4 years.

Hope this helps.

The polynomial function f(x)=-x^3+x^2+14x-24 has zeros at x=-4, x=3, and x=2. Which of the following graphs represents the funct
weqwewe [10]

Answer:

Assuming the choices are only of C and D, D would be the graph of the function.

Step-by-step explanation:

There are many things that would cause D to be the graph of f(x).

Firstly, D has the end behavior of a -x^{3} function.

Secondly, it has correct zeroes

Lastly, Its y-intercept is -24, which is the case of the function f(x) as

f(0) = -24

A certain company's main source is a mobile app. The function h models the company's annual profit (in million of dollars) as a
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

At price 3 and 11, the profit will be $0

Step-by-step explanation:

I think your question is missed of key information, allow me to add in and hope it will fit the original one.

<em> A certain companies main source of income is a mobile app. The companies annual profit (in millions of dollars) as a function of the app’s price (in dollars) is modeled by P(x)=-2(x-3)(x-11) which app prices will result in $0 annual profit?</em>

My answer:

Given:

  • x is the app price
  • P(x) is the profit earned

If we want to find out the app price that will result in $0 annual profit? It means we need to set the function:

P(x)=-2(x-3)(x-11) = 0

<=> (x-3)(x-11)= 0

<=> x - 3 = 0 or x - 11=0

<=> x = 3 or x = 11

So at price 3 and 11, the profit will be $0

Hope it will find you well.
