Answer:

For Kaisorn: y=50-2.50x

For Thom: y=40-2x

Step-by-step explanation:

Each month, Kaisorn deposits $50.00 onto her public transportation card.

It costs her $2.50 per trip to ride the subway. Means 2.50x

Thom deposits $40.00 on his public transportation card. It costs him $2.00 per trip to ride the subway. Means 2x

Let x represents the number of trips

Let y represents the amount remaining in each account.

Then the system of equations represents their transportation costs are :

For Kaisorn: y=50-2.50x

For Thom: y=40-2x

Based on the graph, what is the initial value of the linear relationship?
bonufazy [111]

<u>Answer-</u>

<em>The initial value of the linear relationship is </em><em>5</em><em>.</em>

<u>Solution-</u>

The initial value, also know as y-intercept, is the output value when the input of a linear function is zero. It is the y-value of the point where the line crosses the y-axis or x=0 line.

As the line passes through the y-axis at 5, i.e 5 is the y intercept of the line.

Therefore, the initial value of the linear relationship is 5.

The distribution of annual profit at a chain of stores was approximately normal with mean \mu = \$66{,}000μ=$66,000mu, equals, d
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

The closest to the maximum profit is  x = \$ 83682

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

  The  mean is  \mu = \$66,000

   The standard deviation is  \sigma = \$ 21000

The percentage of profit is  20%

Generally the closest to the maximum annual profit at a store where the executives conducted an audit is mathematically evaluated  as follows

     P(X > x ) = 0.20

=>  P(X >  x ) = P(\frac{X -x}{\sigma }  >  \frac{x -66000}{21000} ) =  0.20

From the z-table  the z-score for  0.20  is

    z-score = 0.842

So

     \frac{x -66000}{21000} = 0.842

=>   x = \$ 83682

In a triangle the length of two sides are 1.9m and 0.7m. What is the length of the third side, if you know that it should be a w
monitta

Answer:

their sum: 2.8m

their difference: 1.2m

the third side's length should be smaller than their sum, larger than their difference

it could be: 1.3-1.4-1.5-1.6-1.7-1.8-1.9-2-2.1-2.2-2.3-2.4-2.5-2.6-2.7 but since it has to be a whole number, 2m is the only eligible answer.

Six pairs of socks cost as much as 1 coat, 2 pairs of jeans cost as much as 3 pairs of shoes, and 4 pairs of socks cost as much
REY [17]
(1) 6 pairs of socks = 1 coat
(2) 2 pairs of jeans = 3 pairs of shoes
(3) 4 pairs of socks = 1 pair of jeans

the last two points are irrelevant becuase we just need socks and coats.
6 pairs of socks are equal to 1 coat.
we need 64 pairs of socks.
so, 64 ÷ 6 = 10.67

so we'll need 10.67 coats for 64 pairs of socks.

i'm not sure if you've typed up the correct numbers becuase i don't think the answer would be expressed as a decimal.

unless we say that we need 11 pairs of coats?

perhaps reread the question again and make sure you've typed it up correctly
xD i hope i've helped.
