Answer: η = 200 %

Explanation:

When Toni bakes alone, we have this: Toni bakes n apple pies in a time frame of t

This is mathematiclly expressed as:

output = produce/time

produce = n, time = t

output 1 = n/t     -------------------- Eqn 1

When Toni bakes with an assistant, we have this: Toni bakes 60% more apple pies in a time frame shorter by 20%

This is mathematiclly expressed as:

produce = n + 0.6 n = 1.6 n, time = t - 0.2 t = 0.8 t

output 2 = 1.6 n/0.8 t     --------------- Eqn 2

η = 100% x output 2/output 1

η = 100% x \frac{1.6 n}{0.8 t}/(\frac{n}{t} \\)

η = 200 %

Answer:

200 % is the answer.

Explanation:

Toni makes x be apple pies .

and Jane works for y hours.

therefore, he makes x apple pies in y hours

which implies he makes \frac{x}{y} apple pies per hour

Now with help of an assistant:

Toni  makes 60% more  apple pies  i.e. x + 0.6x = 1.6x  apple pies

works 20% less i.e. y - 0.2y = 0.8y hours

therefore, now together they make 1.6x/0.8y apple pies per hour \frac{\frac{1.6x}{0.8y} }{\frac{x}{y} } X 100

simplifying we get

200

Hence % increase in output PER HOUR is 200.

Lelechka [254]

Answer:

Rises

Explanation:

If labor demand is downward sloping and labor supply is upward sloping , then when labor demand rises faster than labor supply , it is expected that real wages rises.

Labor demand is downward sloping means the demand for labor in the market is less as compared to the supply of labor which is high as compared to its supply so when the demand starts rises faster as compared to the supply then the available labor been less in quantity gets a chance to demand for high wages because of monopoly competition .

Consider the following data on U.S. GDP: Year GDP (Billions of current dollars) (Billions of 2012 dollars) 2014 17,521.7 16,899.
saul85 [17]

Answer:

= 5.18%

2.88%

True

Explanation:

Nominal GDP is GDP calculated using current year prices

Change in nominal GDP from 2017 to 2018 = 20,494.1 /  19,485.4 - 1 = 0.0518 = 5.18%

Real GDP is GDP calculated using base year prices. Real GDP has been adjusted for inflation

The percentage change in real GDP from 2014 to 2015 = 17,386.7 / 16,899.8 - 1 = 0.0288 = 2.88%

percentage change in real GDP from 2015 to 2016 = 17,659.2 / 17,386.7 - 1 = 1.57%

The percentage change in real GDP from 2014 to 2015 was higher than the percentage change in real GDP from 2015 to 2016
