Answer:

The actual area 21600 miles²

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets explain how to solve the problem

- A drawing that shows a real object with accurate sizes reduced or

enlarged by a certain amount called the scale

- Drawing scale is a ratio between the drawing length and the

actual length

- To find the actual dimensions from the drawing dimensions use the

  scale drawing

* Lets solve the problem

- A map of a rectangular park has a length of 4 inches and a width

of 6 inches

∴ The drawing dimensions are:

# length = 4 inches

# width = 6 inches

- The scale of the map is 1 inch foe every 30 miles

∴ The scale drawing is 1 : 30

- To find the actual area find the actual dimensions

∵ The scale drawing is 1 : 30

∵ The length = 4 inches and the width = 6 inches

- By using cross multiplication

∴  1        :        30

   4       :  actual length

   6       :  actual width

∴ Actual length = (4 × 30)/1 = 120

∴ Actual length = 120 miles

∴ Actual width = (6 × 30)/1 = 180

∴ Actual Width = 180 miles

∴ The actual dimensions are 120 miles and 180 miles

∵ The area of any rectangle = length × width

∴ The actual area = 120 × 180 = 21600

∴ The actual area 21600 miles²

Talja [164]

Well since we already have our unit per mile.

We know that 1 mile = $3.50

And that the tow company towed the car 12 miles.

So we would have to multiply 12 by $3.50

soo..

12 x $3.50 = $42.00

So your answer is D. $42.00

A piece of equipment moves 16.8 yards in 12 minutes how many feet does it move per second?
I am Lyosha [343]

convert yards to feet and minutes to seconds

1yard=3ft

16.8yards times 3ft/1yd=50.4ft

1minute=60 seconds

12minutes times 60seconds/1min=720seconds

feet per second=50.4ft/720sec=0.07ft/sec

answer is 0.07ft/sec

After the closing of the mill, the town of Sawyerville experienced a decline in its population.
ycow [4]

Step-by-step explanation:

P(t) = 12,000 (2)^(-t/15)

9,000 = 12,000 (2)^(-t/15)

0.75 = 2^(-t/15)

ln(0.75) = ln(2^(-t/15))

ln(0.75) = (-t/15) ln(2)

-15 ln(0.75) / ln(2) = t

t = 6.23

A boat sails on a bearing of 038°anf then 5km on a bearing of 067°.
I am Lyosha [343]

This question is not complete

Complete Question

A boat sails 4km on a bearing of 038 degree and then 5km on a bearing of 067 degree.(a)how far is the boat from its starting point.(b) calculate the bearing of the boat from its starting point

Answer:

a)8.717km

b) 54.146°

Step-by-step explanation:

(a)how far is the boat from its starting point.

We solve this question using resultant vectors

= (Rcos θ, Rsinθ + Rcos θ, Rsinθ)

Where

Rcos θ = x

Rsinθ = y

= (4cos38,4sin38) + (5cos67,5sin67)

= (3.152, 2.4626) + (1.9536, 4.6025)

= (5.1056, 7.065)

x = 5.1056

y = 7.065

Distance = √x² + y²

= √(5.1056²+ 7.065²)

= √75.98137636

= √8.7167296826

Approximately = 8.717 km

Therefore, the boat is 8.717km its starting point.

(b)calculate the bearing of the boat from its starting point.

The bearing of the boat is calculated using

tan θ = y/x

tan θ = 7.065/5.1056

θ = arc tan (7.065/5.1056)

= 54.145828196°

θ ≈ 54.146°

Plsssss help !!!!!! At certain traffic light 10% of the cars passed through have four wheel drive what percentage do not have fo
VMariaS [17]

Answer:

90%

Step-by-step explanation:

If you are going to find out the percent of the car that do not have 4 wheel drive, you take the total amount of car that passed though the stoplight which is 100% . You take this 100% and then subtract the 10% to get the final answer 90%. 90% of the cars do not have 4 wheel drive.
