Answer:

0.13

Step-by-step explanation:

We give to each rose bush in the line a number, so there are the following n possibilities that Mr  Flower swill consecutively plant seven or more white bushes, firs two are that the two red bushes to be in the first three bushes planted, that is, (1 and 2) or (1 and 3) or (2 and 3). Second subset of possibilities is those red bushes to be in the last three bushes planted, that is (8 and 9) or (8 and 10) or (9 and 10), then there are a total of 6 possible options. In order to calculate the probability we need to know how many combinations of 2 bushes we can form from the total 10 bushes, it is made through the binomial coefficient.

N of possibilities is=  \frac{10!}{2!(10-2)!}=45 factorial or combination formula

Number of possible events = 6

The probability is p=\frac{6}{45}=0.13

A study of immunizations among school‑age children in California found that some areas had rates of unvaccinated school‑age chil
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

Probability that none of the 20 children in such a classroom would be unvaccinated is 0.055.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that a classroom of 20 children in one such area where 13.5% of children are unvaccinated.

If there are no siblings in the classroom, we are willing to consider the vaccination status of the 2020 unrelated children to be independent.

The above situation can be represented through binomial distribution;

P(X=r) = \binom{n}{r} \times p^{r} \times (1-p)^{n-r} ; x = 0,1,2,3,......

where, n = number of trials (samples) taken = 20 children

            r = number of success = none of the 20 children

            p = probability of success which in our case is probability that

                   children are unvaccinated, i.e; p = 13.5%

<u><em>Let X = Number of children that are unvaccinated</em></u>

So, X ~ Binom(n = 20, p = 0.135)

Now, Probability that none of the 20 children in such a classroom would be unvaccinated is given by = P(X = 0)

           P(X = 0)  =  \binom{20}{0} \times 0.135^{0} \times (1-0.135)^{20-0}

                          =  1\times 1 \times 0.865^{20}

                          =  0.055

<em>Hence, the probability that none of the 20 children in such a classroom would be unvaccinated is 0.055.</em>

The pie chart below shows the percentage of total revenue that a publisher receives from various types of publications. Use this
liberstina [14]

Answer:

a. Cookbooks

b. 50%

c. 30%

Step-by-step explanation:

According To the Question,

  • We have a total revenue of a publisher describe in a circle (360°).

a. Now, Approximately Cookbooks & Textbooks revenue Form 180°, but textbook revenue is more than cookbooks as clearly visible in the diagram

Thus, cookbooks are less than 90°.

Now, we have to find 1/5th of total publisher revenue which is 360°/5= 72°. & the Cookbooks is nearest to 72° ( less than 90°)

So, Answer For (a) is Cookbooks

b. Here in Diagram Clearly Visible that The Cookbooks & Textbooks Revenue Form 180° which is Approximately 50% of total Publisher's Revenue.

So, the Total Revenue Comes From Textbooks & Cookbooks is 50%.

c. Now We know the Cookbooks + Textbooks Revenue form 180° Approximately & Cookbook is approximately equal to 72° (as we solve above)

So, textbooks are 180°-72° = 108°, which is 30% of 360° ∴ 30% Revenue Come From Textbooks.

Mr.Walden wrote the expression. He asked his students to write an equivalent expression of simplified form.
mafiozo [28]

Answer:

option D

Brianna

Step-by-step explanation:

Given in the question the expression wrote by Mr.Walden

\frac{p^{-5} }{q^{0} }

To write the simplified form of this expression we will use negative rule of exponent

b^{-n}= 1 / b^{n}

q^{-5} = \frac{1}{q^{5} }

so,

\frac{1}{q^{5} x q^{0} }

\frac{1}{q^{5} p^{0} }

Only Brianna wrote right simplification of the expression written by Mr.Walden
