Answer:

A. lifting weights to build muscle strength

Explanation:

Lifting weights can help some people build muscle strength but it is often not used in specific ways, the other options are better examples of specificity because they all have things to be specific exercises to help improve want the people wants to improve, the ability to lift weights to build muscle strength is too wide because you don´t know what muscles they want to srengthen or which kinds of weights they are lifting.

Which of the following best describes the results of Dr. Sneed's study on volunteering and hypertension? a. Volunteering has a m
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

The best answer choice for the question: Which of the following best describes the results of Dr. Sneed´s study on volunteering and hypertension, would be, D: The risk of hypertension is lower only for people who volunteer more than 200 hours per year.

Explanation:

The study, which was carried out by Rodlescia S. Sneed and Sheldon Cohen, and which was published under the name "A Prospective Study of Volunteerism and Hypertension Risk in Older Adults" was a very interesting one where the correlation between the risk of developing hypertension in older adults, and the hours spent at volunteering activities, 200 or more in a year, regardless of age, sex, origin, race, and other factors, was studied. In the end, the results of this study show that there is, in fact, a relation between the two things and it is believed that the reason is that volunteering in older adults brings positive concepts about self, and others, that affect the body positively. Thus, although volunteering won´t change a person´s hypertensive state and it is not a cure either, it does reduce the incidence of hypertension on the people that were followed for 4 years. The clarification, however, made by the investigators, is that this applies to older adults who volunteered at least 200 hours or more, and not the other group studied, which was the one that volunteered less that 200 and to a minimum of 100 hours per year. This is why the answer is D.

List three areas that have very low chlorophyll concentration on land. What characteristics of these areas cause such low concen
umka21 [38]
Basically, areas without much plant life have low chlorophyll concentration. In this case, extreme climates characterizes these areas. Specifically, the desert, polar tundra, and high mountain ridges are three areas which have low chlorophyll concentrations. The main characteristics are that they have no soil, shallow soil, or soil that lacks in nutrients, which makes it not suitable for plants to grow; they also have limited water available. Since chlorophyll is contained in vegetation, any area without plants will lack chlorophyll. Hope this helps!

Answer: Desert, Polar Tundra, and High Mountain Ridges because of lack of soil or nutrient in the soil, and lack of water.

alexdok [17]

For Kohlberg, the Post-Conventional individual is the one who follows their own rules by their own ethical principals. This individuals also think that not all rules must be followed without question. Some theorists think that many people may never reach this level and I agree. Society makes us be influenced by other’s people’s opinions, so it is very hard for an individual to not care about the public perception of themselves, I included.
